    I like Agassi.

But Federer will win. He is just too good.

He was a brach arrogant player in his 20's, but he has long shed that reputation. Not sure why you'd think that now. He is very humble and appreciative of what the sport has done for him these days.

Federer's games can be boring cause he doesn't have much real aggression in him. He's got no killer instinct.

You think Federer's boring? He obviously doesn't show his emotion as much as guys like Hewitt and Roddick. I think that when he is on his game, like wimbledon against Roddick-he's the most exciting player to watch. Some of the shots he makes are just ridiculous, his game is almost poetic. I agree that he is awfully quiet, like Sampras, but don't mistake being quiet for not wanting to win-the instinct is there.

Although, when he plays against much lesser opponents, i can see where you're coming from-he kinda goes through the motions.

Hewitt was like playing the match of his life today. Fed's backhand had too many UE's, Hewitt realized that and took full advantage. During much of the match, Hewitt outran Fed. Usually Fed's forehand is a killer, but this afternoon Hewitt traded forehands with Fed fearlessly, winning sizeable amount of points.

The critical moment came at 3-2 in the 4th set, on serve, when Hewitt double faulted twice in his own service game. Actually just two games ago, Hewitt played one of the best games in the entire match. He rallied with Fed from the baseline, pressing mightily on Fed's backhand. Fed was wary of Hewitt's quickness, playing very tentatively in that game and never felt comfortable to run around to his backhand side to unleash his forehand. The strategy worked almost to its perfection for Hewitt. As a Fed's fan myself, I was worried.

The lineperson was over his head. Way too many foot faults were called against Hewitt, I'd say most, if not all, were frivolous. Even John McEnroe thought was unjustified. I think it played a big part in Hewitt's loss today, especially in the crucial game in the 4th set. These calls were clearly in Hewitt's head, thus affecting his serving at the unfortunate time.

Look to a good match tomorrow.

BTW, congrats to Kim Clijster's first slam title - yes this comes from a Justine Henin's fan. Kim really deserves this one.

I would disagree that Hewitt was playing so well. It seemed to me that Federer's mind was on tomorrow's game and was just going through the motions. It was clearly evident during the times when Hewitt had set point 3 times in a row and Federer just took over during those times. It was like he flipped a switch and decided to play for reals. Federer's frustration seemed to stem from the fact that he didn't like the way he was playing rather than any type of fear of losing to Hewitt.

hewitt and roddick's antics are embarrassing to watch. i always mean proper aggression, not pulling facial contortions, ie going for outright winners. sampras was very aggressive he would attempt to hit winners when he was losing momentum in a game.

Federer reminds me so much of Borg.
On the final - It's great to see Agassi make it,but I would think Roger will make Andre run, run, run, and take him in 4 sets max, probably 3.
If Andre somehow makes a match of this,it will go down as one of the most memorable in tennis history.

Darn. The local CBS station is still airing Bengals vs Browns.

I hope the final doesn't start too soon.

Agassi is definitely playing at his highest level. Even then, he is only even in score with Federer right now. Agassi is using his advantage in experience and ball placement and offspeed hits to throw Federer off his game. It is working, but how long can he last?

I don't see Agassi winning in 5 sets, but if he does, this will be a game to remember.

Agassi has broken down. His only hope of winning was to maintain his mental composure and continue playing a conservative, perfect game. He seemed to have broken down after losing the 3rd set. So sad. I respect Agassi but...too bad.
