Now it prob. makes sense why Fed gets so emotional after every Grand Slam win.

Yea, me too. Safin is a great player..also a great personality.

I got to see him at the Masters this past year. I think him, and Nadal are the only ones who can challenge Fed though.

Yep, grunting and losing pounds of diamonds while playing, like a tennis playing drag queen

Safin is a bit of a hothead....but I guess that makes me want to watch him even more.

I wish for two things in this men's US Open draw.....that Lleyton Hewitt loses early, and badly.....and that Blake gets a few upsets and wins the tourney. Anyone up on what Blake has gone through the past several years? Lots and lots of adversity!!

He's definitely gotten to where he is now the hard way. I like him much better than roddick. His game is more exciting to watch. It's tough to root against Federer though. That guy's game is just amazing. When he's on his game, he's unstoppable. Only 3 guys I see have a chance to beat him. Safin, Nadal, and a prime time Agassi. Agassi almost had him last year at the Open but those delays and that crazy wind really made things difficult.

Speaking of Nadal.....his tennis attire has to go! He's wearing a skin tight, sleeveless Nike tank and some white capris! URGH!!!!!

I was present at Blake's first Pro Tournament at the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia. He is one of my favourite players behind Lleyton and to hear what he went through last year was awful. I must say when I had the chance to speak to him in Perth in January of this year he was very upbeat and believed he could achieve the results he knew he had in him.

Agassi will win the US Open in heroic fashion and retire as a champion ~ then the French and the Germans will accuse him of doping...

Yea, Blake broke his neck by running into the net post last year. Also his dad died.

A little known fact that I think is very cool is that James Blake and John Mayer were childhood friends when growing up in Connecticut.

they're called clamdiggers, and i actually think they're pretty cool. a lot of the spanish players are wearing them, although i don't like the skin-tight top. feliciano lopez, another spaniard, wears the same "shorts" and a looser, sleeve-less top- much better i think.

Serena Williams announced she would donate $100 for every ace she has the rest of the year, beginning with her two in Wednesday night's second-round victory at the U.S. Open. Williams said she needs to find out which charity is doing the most good before deciding where to send her donations.

That's very cool.....but I assume this is for Hurricane Katrina relief? That's really admirable.
