Federer missed so many shots tonight. GG US OPEN 09.
Congrats to Clijsters for Womens' Singles and Del Potro for Mens' Singles.

Two amazing streaks ended this season.

First, Soderling stopped Nadal at the French.

Now, Del Potro stops Federer at the U.S. Open.

Yea honestly haven't been watching tennis except for the French/Wimbledon final, so this kid has a bright future from what your saying? Good, Tennis needs more primetime players...I loved the Lendle, Becker, Edberg, Sampres, Agassi eras..Two guys dominating Tennis is cool but gets old after a while.

Again, I remember watching Del Potro last season and thinking he'll never be able to break through.

    I'm impressed.

Mirka looks like she needs a xanax. I don't think Roger's getting laid tonight.

I wonder what MJ would say if he had to give a loser speech.

Not sure how good Del Potro will be but he has more game than Chang for sure.

I agree, I loved that era of tennis. It's good to see new faces in the mix.

Way to rep Argentina Juan Martin!

My mom just called and said everyone is going crazy over there, haha.

    Felicitaciones...

Del Potro (whispering): "Can I say something in Spanish?"

Enberg (whispering back): "We don't have time."

They ultimately let him speak but talk about a slap in the face. I understand the reasoning.

Does Del Potro have a good jumpshot?

Maybe he can back up Ariza if Battier gets traded.

Was it me or did anyone else feel uncomfortable watching Roger's winning speech at Wimbledon? Having everything ready was a big slap in the face to Andy specially after an epic 5th set where Andy held his serves for like 200 times in row.

They gotta get the US Open off so the old women can watch their Oprah.

Also, Del Potro had an amazing run in the US Open Series this year, beating some top opponents, albeit in 3-set tournaments. He's definitely had a good US showing.

I didn't watch the whole match. Is it true that Federer was caught mouthing off to a judge?
