It's gonna be funny when they actually use it on Somalian pirates. They won't know what hit them.

 

Couldn't they use it some hostage situations.

That laser blows. They need to Hollywood it up with visuals and sound.

 

It is more accurate than bullets. It could be used for assassinations. Imagine Ghaddafi's head being burned from a laser that's a mile away. The scary part would be if the terrorists ever stole the plans to the laser and started using it on the ground to target commercial air traffic. It will be worse than 9/11.

This sounds like an act of real genius on the part of the Navy.

 

WISH lazers would go "pew pew" and is brightly visible to where you can see them coming. And can deflect them away even back at the shooter. Instead of them going at the speed of light that you couldnt even dodge from here to Mars.

And the naval Death Ray idea has been around for centuries, since Archimedes in BC times
