I wonder if something was misquoted here. I'm serious, it's really weird to state that we will call them ahead of time if we thought Trump would attack China. Don't confuse my concern for some @dachuda86 level conspiracy here. I've read through the thread and can agree about communication between militaries. I certainly appreciate the General assuring China's general that the US would not attack, considering that Trump was gung-ho about staying in office and doing everything necessary to do so; it's just weird that he would tell them, "HOWEVER, if we do attack you, I'll warn you". I never like the precedent of anyone defying our standard structure of democracy, however, as @JuanValdez reminded us, there were conversations between Pelosi and Milley regarding Trump's state of mind and preventing his dumbass from doing something stupid, despite being an elected leader, so I'm not concerned about the action that had to be taken. It was a judgement call and we can all sit here and criticize, but non-Trump supporters (including republicans), were very much concerned about an unhinged Trump doing something stupid, especially the Jan 6 incidents.
The real story here is that our top military official deemed our sitting president as a clear and present danger. Think about that... Let it sink in... The Joint Chiefs Chairman had reason to believe our president was mentally unfit. I trust the general's assessment.
I thought Bob Woodward couldn't be believed because he reported that Trump disrespected American war dead and called soldiers suckers and losers.

Again... I would betray the President of the United States if I believed it would save everything I know and love from a Nuclear Holocaust. Why wouldn't you? If you worked as a general in the Pentagon under Biden, and you thought he was a threat to an illegal war by Biden that would decimate life on earth would you not do the same? And no it's not treason, but you should totally get your Republican clerics to get him in front of Congress to testify about this under oath. I'm sure it'll go really well for your clerics like Gym Jordan when he says why he did what he did.
