I think that's the point...you were comparing playing styles and he pointed out that at least 2 people with that playing style have been successful. You countered with " no...they were nba champions and finals mvp..." huh? Look, if you want to say Lowry isn't as good than say that. You said, previously, that guards that can't hit the 3 will get shut down in the playoffs, the guy countered by pointing out two successful guards that can't and won't try to hit 3's. I know you are agreeing with him but I don't know if you understand that, so allow me to explain.

He is saying compare Lowry to Rondo (for example) and you say yeah "but Rondo is an NBA champion." To you that means, don't compare them, but I think you should. Rondo on a crap Celtics team (comparable to the Grizz) averaged 6/3/3 on 41% shooting. On a championship caliber Celtics team the next year he got 9/4/5 on 49% shooting. Mind you this was without any competition for the spot. Add that to playing with 3 great players and that gives the kid tons of swagger and confidence. Back to comparing Lowry and Rando, they were taken within two draft picks of each other and are both about 6 ft 170 lbs. Their scouting reports are similar, shaky shot, solid d, loves to drive. Your argument, which I'm sure you meant to implicate was, Parker is on a whole different level, therefore similar playing styles or not, you can't compare them. That's fair, not the the guy's point but valid on your end. I ask that you reconsider your evaluation on Rondo though. I think you will find many similarities in Lowry and Rondo. If that means we are on our way to a championship...cool.

Lowry can play the ball, he is fast, strong, and makes a good decision. You just look at his face, he seems to be smart kid, will become better each day. Brooks and Lowry combination is better than Rafer-Brooks one. Next step, sign Artest for three years (9M for each year), try to get Wade or JJ, this team should be fine.

Hes tonnes and miles better than Rafer.

Rafer was the highest paid brick layer in the world...and he didn't lay them the way he intended to 37% of the time...

lowry only had 2 assists last night. but both were to a wide open shooter that resulted in made 3pters. both assists required good court vision, so they're impressive. he also appears to have great speed and strong finish at the rim. he made some mistakes in defending the high p&r, but his on-ball defense was impressive. don't know how bad lowry's range shooting is, but that can be improved through practicing in most cases (see landry or amare, etc.).

i liked what i saw last night. have to see lowry play more to be certain. but morey was right - our pg position now is better than pre-trade. in an interim, our only position that needs major upgrade is the 2 now.
