One of my favorite Dirk playoffs statlines: 33.3 pts, 15.7 rbs, 3 stls, 1.3 blks, .685 TS in a playoff series vs. Spoiler Kevin Garnett (Garnett had solid series as well, almost 24-19, but low efficiency and it was a sweep)
Duncan and KG were also recognized by the people. Pau Gasol wasn't an Allstar starter if I recall correctly. Let's see: Duncan 14x Allstar and 2x MVP Garnett 15x Allstar and MVP Gasol 4x Allstar The above two are in the league of their own. Dirk was an MVP and was a first banana in their championship run so I put Dirk ahead. Gasol's playoff failure with Memphis hurts him tremendously.
Fair enough. So it depends now on their careers. Bosh is 4 years younger and has a brighter future with the Heat for now. Gasol is 33 and not getting any better.
Bosh Gasol LMA Really like all 3. Gasol and LMA can both play center with their size, but I think bosh is very underrated to me. If it were just he and lbj or if wade took a more passive role which he should, bosh would get his due as a player. He's made the most sacrifice of the 3 in miami. He's not running back to spoes like wade continues to do.
This. He is a special player with a great skill set and I would have liked to see him have a bigger, more suitable role.
If we're ranking all the modern era PFs (in primes): Duncan KG Dirk Webber Pau Amar'e Aldrige I put Pau over Amar'e because I think the latter's stats are a bit inflated from his Suns days. And, Pau had a more well-rounded game, even if Amar'e was more athletic and a better scorer.
1. Bosh 2. Pau 3. LMA All 3 are great-superstar players at their prime. Bosh's season before he left for Miami was amazing. I
LMA is the one that does not seem like the others in this comparison. This is a guy who will want the max and he's not worth it. He can't rebound and the other guys score more efficiently.
