Let us not forget that this only ranks 6th on the list of Tyson's quickest knockouts. Crazy or not, he's still one of the hardest punchers in the heavyweight division today, and this slug he was fighting has a reputation for having a glass jaw. I don't think this fight was thrown...
I thought at first he threw the fight, especially with all the talk about taking care of their families, but he came out hard and had dodged several hard punches before that one. He just got clocked. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. But it sure did sound and look suspicious. Everything would lead you to believe this fight was thrown.
I don't believe that fight was fixed. Here's my opinion: Have you ever been in a fight, and gotten hit really hard? Not hard enough to knock you out, but hard enough to make you think, "I really don't want any more of that." Well, I saw the fight, and Etienne actually removed his mouthpiece when he fell, before he laid his head on the mat. I don't think he was too wobbled to stop fighting. He was obviously coherent enough to remove the mouthpiece so he could breath after getting nailed in the jaw. I just think he thought to himself....."I don't want to get up, I'll take my payday and save my jaw and my pride for the next fight."
Etienne wasnt really knocked out.......I have watched many fights and you dont grab your mouthpiece and take it out, you get it knocked out for you......He took a good shot and decided to get paid....Who was the real winner? ........ no one Tyson will not get anything from this fight........(practice for another Lewis match, or respect from the media)........ except a fat check that he still owes his ex-wife. Guys an idiot. Etienne ......... no comment
