If Chandler would agree to non-guarantee the last two years of his deal (and he might do that to get out of there) then he would be a decent acquisition if PHX throws in a high second rounder with him.
For all his blustering, bballholic was right about Ty Lawson making his last year non-guaranteed as a condition of the Nugs-Rox trade. If we can get Chandler to agree to do this same while only giving up spare parts (KJ, Brew, Ennis), that'd be a no-brainer move
Yep, that will always be holic's trump card. He guessed that one right. I think the bigger issue with Chandler is what are we going to trade for him? I don't see why the Suns would want to deal him for salary in Brewer, don't see why they would want KJ and definitely not Ennis. These are all junk parts and just to make salary work they'd need multiple of them meaning they would have to cut a player for the privilege.
Chandler for Brewer/KJ works mathematically, but why would they want either of those scrubs? Neither guy has upside and both have money guaranteed beyond this yearf, so unless we are giving them a first round pick what's the motivation for PHX? Do we want to give up picks for Chandler? Are there no other contenders who might like Chandler for more than that bucket of poop?
Getting Tyson Chandler makes the Rockets a top-contender. He is somewhat like Ben Wallace and Dennis Rodman in the 90s, they will win you championship. Defensive players who knows not to shoot and knows his role.
Suns will owe Tyson Chandler over $26 million after this season is over. If they trade him and a minimum salary for brewer and kj, they will owe brewer approximately $7.5 million and will even be able to get ought KJ's $3.4 by not exercising their team option. It's a salary dump for them, Mr. Math Genius.
No I didn't admit that then. I told you several years ago I wasn't. You're way behind the times as usual.
Ya I get that for sure. it's the chemistry issues that scare me though....after last year i realized it doesn't take much to derail a team......
Chemistry is more of a mental attitude than physical abilities. I think we'll be okay compared to last season.
