I’m 33, I can’t run like I used to and have no interest in playing defense or setting picks.

But I can hit the corner 3. Vet minimum?

As a 15-20 minute-per-game backup for Capela, Chandler would fit well here. When the Lakers called his number last season, he gave them serviceable center minutes.

You know what's depressing? This dude still drawing paychecks while our Yao Ming has been retired for nearly 10 years already.

The life of a Rockets fan...sigh....

Can he (or any future potential backup C) play more than one game per week and more than 10 minutes in that game?

He averaged 5.6 rebs in 12.7 mins for PHX last year and 5.6 rebs in 16.4 mins in LA. Thats 15.8 and 12.3 rebs per 36mins.

We got out rebounded so bad last year cause of our size, why wouldnt anybody be happy about this? Sign him now.

This. We only need Chandler to help alleviate PJ’s minutes and provide another big body behind Capela. He would be a great fit for all those reasons you mentioned.

Chandler would the perfect backup 5 to take the place of Nene for the Rockets. Will he want to come here is the real question.

This could cause a beard war on the team. I don't like it. Not one bit.

No, the Rockets are trying to win games.

Dwight Howard is arguably biggest loser in NBA history. He also is the least respected player in the league.

    He is cancer.

    Probably.

Chandler can still really hit the boards and finish on lobs but he offers very little paint protection at this point.

There were lots of other options but Morey was too busy fighting windmills like Don Quixote.

Tyson Chandler is not a freaking strategy. he's a backup center and AARP member capable of playing 8-12 min a night. This is not a substitute for adding an "impact plyer" ...oh and can we actually add a 4 to the roster? we don't have any.
