At first I figured Chandler was a no-brainer. Then I contemplated what we'd have to give up in trade over just outright signing Miller. Then I remembered the fact that the Bobcats were looking for expiring salary and I have to believe Jeffries or Battier would have been useful enough to get a deal done.

    Not that I know that.

But yeah, Chandler would help out this team a lot more. Thats for sure. There are too many questions on what it would take to obtain him to make a direct comparison to a Miller signing.

one has zero offense, the other has zero defense.

pass on both. we have more than enough one dimensional players.

if i had to choose, chandler b/c we need a defensive C to back up yao.

The answer is "C" - Andris Biedrins

No doubt, Biedrins is high risk, high reward. But big salary plus injury = availability

The guy was an automatic double double before last season. If healthy, he could fill the backup 4 and 5 spots for the Rockets. Not sure if he has the ideal range to play alongside Yao, but he would be at least a quality backup at Center. Plus Biedrins has the athleticism & youth that Miller lacks.

I like Andris Biedrins, but he is 9M (flat) per for 4 more years. For a decent C that's really not that bad, but it hurts the Rockets salary flexibility which is a trend we have seen that Morey doesn't like to compromise.

It's not Morey who doesn't like to compomise, it's our cheap owner Les.
