The reality of the new cba is that there should be a squeeze on mid level vets like evans. The rox have no bad contracts except lin slightly and then royce white. We have a ridiculously good deal with parsons. Even so, we are just barely able to assemble the talent to contend, and we need luck with howard too.

N.O. are a tweak from having Gordon be the worst contract in the league. Overpaying Reke is at best a 2 million per year error. That's going to haunt them much worse than white and lin for us.

Honesty, I wouldn't mind Vasquez on the Rockets.. Asik for Vasquez and Anderson? Only if we get Howard to sign, of course. Anderson would be perfect as our power forward that can stretch the floor and I really like what I saw from Vasquez when he played the Rockets; tough nosed point that can shoot, drive, and run an offense. Pretty pesky defender too. Of course we would have to find a place for Lin. For the pelicans, they clear up the backcourt a little, then can move Davis to power forward with Asik as center.

    Pelicans:
    Holiday
    Gordan /Evans
    Aminu / Evans
    Davis
    Asik
I think Evans is more a 6th man, but that's a pretty solid lineup that could upset some teams and grow together.

    Rockets:
    Vasquez
    Harden
    Parsons
    Anderson
    Howard

    Just daydreaming here hahaha

That Holiday trade worked out pretty well then. We get Jrue and you get nothing.

For years I've thought all Tyreke needed to succeed was to get out of that terrible organization in Sacramento and go to a quality organization like.... Oh. Never mind.

I was thinking something similar but I was thinking Asik for Anderson and Lopez.

We keep Lin, replace Asik with Lopez, who is obviously a big step down but still a quality center off the bench and a legitimate shot blocker, and add Anderson to the power forward rotation.

If you consider a top 3 protected pick next year nothing, then sure.

if the hornets are any good than that pick is likely to be 10-14 range, not worth Holliday.

Seems like Kings are working on a S&T to get Vasquez and Lopez for Evans.

If Davis develops to where he demands a double team every possession, that's pretty much the Orlando Magic w/ Dwight Howard.

    :O

I agree that Tyreke needs a change of scenery. But I think 11M/per is just too much. The Kings are smart not to match. Especially after drafting McLemore.

I think I would go only as high as 7/M or 8/M per.

I think this is good for the Kings actually... Gives them a real point guard to feed their scorers as opposed to just a whole bunch scorers running around.

As surprised I am at Tyreke getting 4 years and 44 mil - I'm more surprised the Kings let him go! Honestly I'm not sure whether it was a bad move by the Pelicans or a good move by the Kings haha!

Does this mean Meyers in Portland is expendable?

I think he's more of a long term project. Right now, the Blazers need bench players who can actually play basketball.

The real question is... what the hell are the Pelicans going to do with all these back court guys???? There have got to be some future moves on the horizon.

The kings are actually putting together a nice team. It may not amount to much later, but for now, it fits better than anything they have had in a while.

    Vasquez/T Douglas/Fredette
    McLemore
    Pat/Hayes/Thompson
    Cousins/Aldrich

They just need to such for one more year and get themslves a SF. Upgrade PG later.

Saying he can't shoot to save his life is quite the exaggeration....He's 80% from FT and almost at 35% from three. I could see him improve on that 3pt% again next season. His form is solid.
