Now I understand why the Kings traded Martin away. Evans is never going to be an elite PG in the traditional sense. He's like LeBron James in a smaller package but without the court vision. I'm watching him right now and he never makes the pass off the pick and roll. He never makes the hockey assist. I can't say this for certain because I haven't religiously followed his rookie year, but he plays like a ball hog. He and Martin would never have coexisted.
Yeah, it's just one game, but I don't see Landry benefiting as much from Evans as he did with Lowry or even Brooks. But you never know.
Modeling your game off a seven time all-star is bad right ? Stop trying to make unwarranted reasons to hate on a player.
I'm referring to the "not making the hockey assist" and "being a ballhog" essentially T-Mac and we know where that's gotten him in terms of team success...
Well back in College he played SG most of the season until the tournament where he then became a PG. I think he is more of a combo guard but I disagree saying he is a ballhog. He averages 5 assist and before Martin was traded there were games where he basically was not shooting enough.
i'm watching the Kings now cuz of Landry. and i agree with the OP. he is extremely good player individually. but i don't like his game at all. he hogs the ball way too much and does not look to setup teammates. he only pass when he's runs out of options.
he's an ALL-AROUND PLAYER. he can do everything. he's not fit to play PG all game though, but he can do it for stretches, just like a wade/tmac/kobe or other great all-around players
well as of right now landry's 2-9 with sixth points, but he might be going through what kmart went through tonight.
Brooks isn't a PG too but for his size he's forced to play the point. But, I don't know why Tyreke plays the point he clearly has the size of a SG.
who else on the kings can dribble even with kmart? tyreke is their best ballhandler, creator, and scorer. that's why the kings traded martin away for landry (for inside presence) and cap space.
was kevin martin taking a jab at tyreke evans when he said "you don't have to stand around watching a player dribble around all day"
