I knew someone would ruin this thread with a trade proposal involving Rudy Fernandez. Overrated. Incredibly.
We need an athletic SG/swingman that can score without much effort, but unless Jermaine Taylor develops into that, I doubt we will be able to get one this season. Also I'm officially on the backup Center position, I had hopes for David Andersen, but he is developing a lot slower then I'd like both offensively and defensively. The fact is, the backup position is his to lose and right now he is on the defensive with Dorsey, not a good sign.
Absolutely agree on this, Rudy F is a good back up, but hardly anything worth investing money to get at this point.
He is already losing it. Dorsey has taken his minutes the past 2 games. Though not sure Dorsey is someone for the future either.
SG, Backup center SG - Tracy McGrady (who is now in exhale and recovering from injury) Center (backup) - Dikembe Mutombo (career-ending injury in the 09 Playoffs) Sadly, that's where our blackhole is right now, along with starting center (Yao Ming).
Danny Grangers = 23 pts 5 rebs 3 asts. 2mill and some chnge for 5 years on a BASE CONTRACT. thats what you call a steal. i doubt the pacers will want to let him go. i cant see what the rockets could offer for him, certainly tmacs contract is too large and indi would be loosing multiple players alomg with the rockets who wont just be giving mac up. i dont see it happening unless a third party is there to swallow Macs Contract give up a scorer to indi and us give up whatever we give up. but once again, i would love danny but the contract om DG is hard to deal with being the player he is. but ill pray.
We need this. Yao and Lebron or a Coca Cola.........You decide which I'm talking about. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/e6ySswEnFNs&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/e6ySswEnFNs&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I'm assuming that's a mistype on your part, Granger's making $12M. I can't see any way that the Pacers would deal Granger; they're perfectly set up for the lockout in 2011, with only Dahntay Jones and Granger guaranteed, and all of their bad contracts expire next year. People dreaming of getting Granger should realize it would be like the Rockets dealing Steve Francis right after he got his extension for an expiring contract. As for what the Rockets need, it's abundantly clear they need a guy who thrives on making tough, contested jumpshots, doesn't need to drive or get into the lane to set up assists, and can play well off the pick and roll without needing to dominate the ball. I count Kobe, Pierce, Joe Johnson and BRoy here; none of whom is available.

Jason Richardson makes since too. He shoots the ball extremely well from 3pt range and can get to the basket.
The only way we get Granger would be to send over Chase Budinger, McGrady (or more likely Battier) and Lowry (or Brooks), while accepting TJ Ford, Granger and someone else (don't know the squad that well). Other then that sort of deal, I don't see them letting their closest thing to a star go.
