So Ty Lawson is our version of Detroit's Josh Smith debacle. Hilarious if he finds a fit with his next team.
Who cares? There are 20 or so games left and the best outcome for the Rockets is to not make the playoffs and keep their pick, preferably get their pick in the top 10. Release Terry as well. They are 29-31 and they have some tough games coming up. Would love them to finish 5-17, 6-16.... going 34-48 and getting a pick in the 8 to 10 spot. Really wishing that Motiejunas deal had been completed.
Wow. Morey didn't even want to try to find a taker for this contract in June. That's heavy. Lawson must have been a disgrace not only on the court.
That would've been the dream scenario. Now with the Jazz losing, we're going to limp into the 8th seed with a sub .500 record, lose our pick, and get swept. Fun season!
I understand Lawson wasn't playing his best basketball while here with the Rockets but what happens now? We have 2 empty roster spots. We have Beverly who has been injured pretty much every year for the playoffs, and Jason Terry who is pretty old. What happens if one or both of these guys gets injured? Theres no backup at all... And before people say we can bring in a D league guy or someone else, is that player even going to play at Lawson's crappy level. Seems like a bad move to me.
I think everyone just gets drunk when they see his face and that affects their play. He prob smells like pot or something.
Had high hope for him at the beginning of the season, but he brought absolutely NOTHING to the table. Just like that, as mysteriously as he arrived, he was gone.
dude, check out Lawson's stats, he has been invisible when he's played. The only time you notice him on the court is when he gets blown by on defense or commits a turnover. He has done nothing positive on the court. I am fully confident that we can find a d-leaguer who can match Lawsons almost nonexistent output on offense and beat Lawsons putrid defense.
