getting a top 2 seed next year will be extremely important to winning it all. having to get past one of those teams in the first round instead of the hornets/mavs/jazz is not to be taken lightly. so you can rest a little before the 2nd round.

This makes the drafting of two forwards look a lot smarter. If we would have had Jones or Grant instead this still may have happened, but would have basically wasted the pick.
Depending on how much Dekker and Harrell contribute this season, that I think will be big minutes come the in of the season, even if they start off in the D-league like Capella.

It's a shame Smith was drunk as well during the free agency period.... It's a complete steal of a trade, not all quite sure how the minutes will be allocated, but at least now when Harden sits, someone can do something on the court.

 

Great podcast as always. One thing I'm glad you guys talked about was the possibility of Lawson coming off the bench. I've been thinking the same thing. I think Bev Is a better fit and I want Lawson playing those minutes Harden isn't on the floor. I'd like to see Lawson around 30 min off the bench.

I think it's entirely possible that Dwight and Capela average a combined 30 pts per game. The opportunities for put backs, dunks, etc. will be limitless.

I'm just as excited about some Harden/Lawson picks and rolls at the top of the key. What can the defense do? Both can shoot, both are elite distributors, and both can attack the rim and finish.

 

So he is in rehab because he is facing jail time from a previous plea deal and needed some leverage on it.

Not so voluntary but hoping John Lucas can help him solve his problem.
