TMZ said they interviewed him right before he got on the freeway and was stopped. Watch the interview and you will see that this guy wasn't intoxicated at all. He probably got arrested because he did identified himself as an NBA player and the cop decided to make another example out of him.

Now he probably shouldn't have had even 1 drink and decided to drive since he is on probation for DUI, but he definitely doesn't seem at all intoxicated in that video. And why all multi-millionaire high profile celebrities don't have drivers is beyond stupid to me.

And as far as his past arrests, if anyone who drinks now can say that they didn't have a drink in college at the age of 20, please stand up. For those of you acting holier than thou because he got caught, even when they said his alcohol limit was way below the legal limit, so therefore he wasn't even drunk then, then just get off your high horse. We all did it in college under age if you drink at all. The domestic violence charge was against both people over an argument, dropped completely in less than 2 months, so was probably nothing but a simple argument as well.

I hope Morey goes and gets this guy at the fire sale that Denver surely has to have now. What ever cheap assets we can get him for would be amazing for the Rockets.

I'm in the camp that believes that Ty can help push us to CHAMPIONSHIP level with his skills on the court of assists, ball handling, penetrating, scoring and running the fast break. With Ariza, DMo/Smith(if we can resign him) and Howard holding the paint down defensively, he will be adequate or better than Terry or Prigioni was defending on the perimeter; while Bev will still be there to guard during intense defensive posessions. But on offense, adding him would take our team to the next level. With him and Harden, they would be a 1 and 2 that would be as hard or harder to guard than Curry and Thompson.

MOREY, PLEASE GO GET TY LAWSON NOW!

Texas might lead the country in alcohol related incidence, but that isn't the only aspect of a state's safety ranking. Other factors include traffic violations, non-alcohol related accidents, non-alcohol related injuries, etc. I researched a few websites and Texas was never #1 or even Top 10 for that matter.

I stand by what I said. I've been everywhere in the contiguous 48. Texas is no better or worse than anywhere I've been.

Please provide any links that backup your claim.

    * Standing up *

I don't think his troubles make him untouchable, but it does limit how much I'd be willing to pay. And, I imagine it limits Denver's appetite to sell. At some price, Denver is better off keeping him and hoping he plays well and his reputation rebounds.

If the Rockets were already on the fence, this should completely take them out of the market for Ty...

Adding a guy like Ty may help the Rockets in the short term, but the Rockets want to be players for Durant...If the Thunder manage to start badly, and if things look bleak in OKC, Sam Presti is gonna be looking for trade assets in return... If that is the case, the Rockets will take midseason gamble for him... Guaranteed...They are trying to create interesting assets for trade if something like that may be a possibility...

Ty is just a smoke screen...Morey is trying to acquire servicable pieces that may have a chance to work, that he could flip for a big fish if he suddenly enters a market...

No one cares about the first two arrests. Did anyone even bring them up at all in any of the trade talks? At the time of his first arrest he was not below the legal limit. His limit was .01 because he was underage, .03 would only be below if he were 21 or older. But we get it, young guys make mistakes and underage drinking is extremely common.

Plenty of people get busted once, learn, and change. One incident means nothing, but twice in one year indicates a pattern. And no, I don't buy that it was a cop with an agenda. Part of his condition for the bond from the first incident is that he not consume alcohol. Not only did he violate that condition, but chose to drink and drive again. Completely irresponsible.

If he needs to serve jail time for this first DUI (which is very possible as of now), and then serve jail time again for his second DUI (which is totally possible), and then of course Silver will suspend him.

The Nuggets could very well getting out of his contract totally and waive him without any compensation right after his sentence (assuming they will have certain communication with Silver).

Unless any team will have a D league team playing in the prison, who the f**k will trade for him under this situation?

I agree with what you are saying, and made that clear in my post. Also, I didn't say that the cop had an agenda, I said he was probably definitely speeding and because he mentioned that he was a NBA player that the cop might have decided to make an example of him...that's not making a stop with an agenda. But you can definitely piss off a cop by trying to get out of stuff by trying to seem important or that you are somebody....especially for cops who are used to celebrities in LA. Just saying.

The Thunder will not trade Durant lmao. They will never land a player of his caliber and they will do everything in their power to get him to re-sign with them.

Exactly. After the Harden trade, the idea that OKC would consider a trade of Durant to Houston for ANYTHING is funny if nothing else, especially during mid-season next year.

A change in team will help him and he will be the best point guard we had since Jeremy Lin...jk...Stevie "Franchise" Francis!!

He's definitely better than anyone we have right now. I will even trade PB for him.

I guess I'll stand up? I definitely didn't drink at age 20. Or any other age for that matter.
