The year is young, but already a contender for worst thread of the year. A. The material is covered (ad nasuem) elsewhere B. 2 of your options involve trading 1sts for role players (!) Newsflash: we are seeking a star, a role player may add 4 wins, buuut... C. You are apportioning blame to Tate - who has barely played this year. How can he be part of your perceived problem!?!? Just wait. The season is almost half over. After halfway, every game is a game closer to the end. The 2 words we ACTUALLY want to hear are "One" and "Houston"
If we don't get Wemby we may very well still end up with a top 4 pick the following year and keep it. The reality is that we are not signing and trading for anyone changing our path. We are essentially trusting the process 2.0. We could end up doing this for a decade with this front office.
There is no improving without Cialis gone. Sure Gordon takes mintues he shouldnt but thats the coaches decision isn't it? Silas doesnt know how to use him just like he doesnt know how to use any of the players. The Rockets buying Gordon out wont make as big of an impact as firing Silas and bringing Gordon off the bench for a few minutes.
Impact for what? The goal is to lose as many games as possible. While our record is better then i’d like, it’s not too bad
If they weren't using him as a tank commander there would be zero excuse not to fire Silas immediately. Anybody can see he is not a true NBA caliber coach. A real coach could do wonders for this young team. No team will send us a "young stud" for Gordon/Tate.
The thread raving about KPJ's good defense was bad enough it's going to span multiple years as the worst thread.
more talent infusion is not a solution to bad teams...everybody is talented in nba...thats why tanking never works ....it's the management/coaching development of the talent thats the solution
pro tankers with that drug/gambling addict mentality THEY NEVER LEARN more talent infusion is not a solution to being a bad team, its always the management/coaching of the talent..everybody is talented in nba... andrew wiggins was always talented but only got to really shine when he came to the right environment they never learn the draft order has nothing to do with the quality of the player youre getting/developing into its not where you pick but who you pick and what you with the pick! @sirjesse @cml750 @ThatboyPhuong @Ankara1923 @LeDakota @aaquaa @DreamShook @PeterKingX @AroundTheWorld @J.R. @tinman @harold bingo @ExTxGS @conquistador#11 @CHAMPBOY @mirdirir @Joe Rocket @WestendMassive @Salvy @clutchdabear @berkowsk @j@amc @Killatron 2000 @Dovahkiin @ExTxGS @cmoak1982 @bmelo
tanking is addictive... once somebody goes down with injury ppl will say ah theres this one nice role player in this years draft perfect to pair with scoot/wemby and well be tanking again... the worst part is as soon as you get into something palpable adam stilver will step in and ruin it juts like he did it for philly....
Dude, this ain’t the NFL where the wirst record gets the first pick. Winning needs to be the priority and 4th or 5th worst record still gets you around 12 % chance (vs 14 % chance) of first pick in the draft.
They need to stick with this mess they’ve created. Once this tanking crap fails—and it will—hopefully they’ll move on from Silas and find someone that knows how to do something other than being one of the worst coaches in the history of the NBA.
I was halfway joking but I understand. Worst record would guarantee top 5 which is a safety net for this level of suckage. Honestly it's just starting to look like a loss season to me in terms of winning. I don't like the overall vibe of the team, though I have high hopes for our young players. If I thought that ownership or the front office was serious about winning and growth I would be right there with you still. I never thought he was the guy that would lead us back to any sort of relevance. But he is the guy if you want to tear it all down. And that means sacrificing some of our players development. It's a deal with the devil. But they are in to deep to reverse course now.
