    could be yao.

we know the rockets were exploring the idea, plus the bay area has one of the largest asian populations in the country.

Not true. Given what we know about the food and diet habits of Houstonians in general, I'd bet the Asians in Houston are significantly larger than those in the Bay Area.

Ellis shouldn't be on the Rockets' radar right now. We already have an efficient scorer who can't defend in K-Mart

People don't give Ellis enough props just cuz he's on the Warriors

K-Mart isn't dominate, he's a quiet scorer. Ellis will take over games.

Ellis is the best scorer in the league.

I agree that Ellis is not an elite player.

    I wouldn't call him a superstar.

But the way he has been playing this year, he better make the All-Star game (Yao's injury replacement?) or else something is seriously wrong with the system.

Regardless though, the thread is about who supposedly the other superstar is that's available.

And no he's not a superstar... Probably would be considered an "upcoming superstar" if he was putting up the same numbers with a winning record

look at who he has scored 38 + against. Houston twice, memphis, knicks, suns, portland and Lakers. Basically poor defensive teams without a shot blocker, who like to score, except for Portland. LA can sometimes be in that category when they start to get off track.

Like i mentioned before, Monta scores mostly inside and thrives off of it and free throws. He's basically a more athletic, but less perimeter-oriented Martin. Both can be contained well with a decent defense (like in the playoffs).

Monta Ellis was just carried off of the floor. Looks like a knee injury.

I suspect that the owner of the Warriors defines super star different than some people. I personally think he is referring to Zach Randolph. I do not think he is even close to a super star though.

That would actually be the real superstar on the trading block, Carmelo.

Ellis isn't that great...his TS% is pretty low compared to Durant or Martin. He plays around 48 minutes to get his points too. If martin played his minutes this year, Martin would be leading the league (or injured).
