Im the guy who started the thread this week entitled, "This just in.... ROCKETS are worthless!!" The thread was locked by Clutch himself, but I believe this thread shares my thoughts.

This team is just not that good at all, which is the consistant product that this management has put on the floor. Also, I am the type of fan that believes that a fairweather is the best fan because the only way to pressure your management to make moves is to not give them a dime.

I only watch my team when they have potential to contend.

This team is worthless right now!

Whats the proof for that, that never happen and you are the one that have no clues.

Good team are letting DH get all the touches he one, and playing him single team, but not letting the Orlando get to many good 3P shots.

Remeber that Spurs - Suns series when Amare went wild and in paper it look like he outplay Duncan but at the end they lost, why because they limited Suns 3Ps. That is how you beat Orlando.

Take R. Lewis out and Orlando is a lottery team, maybe not a lottery team because the Eat is bad, but a .500 team.

Don't let the numbers in so few games fool you. DH playing in Houston with the same schedule/teammates/injuries. probably Rox will have a losing record. team just double Yao all the time and make the team make 3s. when they do they Rox look unbeatable, the problem they don't make as much as Orlando.

Don' let the Record fool you, Orlando full team vs elite, SUN, SPURS, DETROIT, CELTICS. 1-4.

Houston vs Elite, UTAH, SUNS, SPURS, DALLAS. 3-3 (IF you trow Denver in there) 3-4. And thats with T-Mac missing two.

Don't let 20 games in the season fool you pls.

Despite sorry coaching and bad rosters, Howard has improved each and every season. While this is the best team he's been on and best coach he's had, that isn't what make him great. The guy is growing up. Besides Howard, that Magic team is softer than tissue paper. Even WITH Howard, I think they're gonna stumble a bit during the season. Their backcourt will crumble and their forwards are pillow-soft matadors.

I agree except the Rockets will make the playoffs. At some point we'll win some regular season games and get in, but this roster/coach doesn't appear to be much of a playoff threat at the moment.

I agree with the bulk of your post, tigermission1, but not this. Scola breathes fire and eats nails. I don't know who you've been watching, but the Scola I'm watching plays like all of the rest of the Argentines, and they all play hard and physical. Yes, they all flop too, but that doesn't mean they aren't tough. Is he Charles Oakley? No, but take a look around the league. There are no more Charles Oakleys in the NBA. Scola has had his issues this season, but I don't think toughness or fire is one of them. He's the PASSION ASSASSIN for cryin' out loud. Ask DaDakota.

Have you been watching the Magic this season? Howard is getting double teamed every game. And Orlando is second in three point attempts, with only trigger happy Golden State shooting more. Opposing defenses have to sink to the paint to handle Dwight, and Orlando puts 4 outside shooters around him.

You put Howard on the Rockets and we might improve because he adds strength and toughness. You add Yao to the Magic's sissy front line and he's more exposed than he is now because Chuck and Shane won't be there to cover for him by drawing charges and playing good defense. Your statement about the Magic's record doesn't reflect on Howard, it reflects on their team.

And who's being "fooled"? I've watched over 10 Magic games so far this season and have a pretty good idea on what makes them tick. If you honestly believe Rashard is more valuable to them than Howard, I've got a bridge for sale in Brooklyn at a great price. You fit the bill.

    Do you understood me.

    I Said vs Good teams

    This is for you

    Rashard Lewis
    In Games Won 20pts in 41 3P%
    In Games Lost 16pst in 33 3p%

Rashard more important for Magic wins that Howard.

Remeber last year all the early talk about Yao MVP. what happen T-Mac get injured Rox Sucks All the MVP talk stop.

Same will happen to Howard if R. Lewis get hurt.

Last Year Yao better numbers less value to Houston, Tmac less numbers more value (Last year Rockets MVP T-Mac).

This year DH better number less value to Orlando, R.Lewis less numbers more value (This Year Rashard MVP for Orlando)

"Opposing defenses have to sink to the paint to handle Dwight, and Orlando puts 4 outside shooters around him."

You give me the answer right there thats why he doesn't get double as much DT as Yao. You put four shooter in Houston around Yao and the shooting will sucks, then team have no reason to stop double teaming Yao.

Good team will let DH get his, but limited the shooting for Orlando, (no wide open shoots)

Again, Houston vs elite Good, Orlando vs elite Bad. (Orlando look like last year Rockets, Great vs Bad Team but can't beat good teams)

This is silly. Howard puts up better numbers than Lewis in their wins. And you want to give the credit to Lewis, because he happened to play poorly in their 5 losses? What kind of screwy logic is that?

BTW, I looked at their team game logs:

in 16 wins: 9.3 out of 26.9 on threes (34.6%)
in 5 losses: 9.6 out of 25.2 on threes (38.1%)

You're argument that the Magic have lost when opposing teams stay home on three point shooters doesn't wash with the evidence. They've been a better three point shooting team in the 5 losses!

It's isn't logic. He probably hasn't even seen the Magic play. Anybody who says Rashard is more valuable to the Magic (in ANY scenario, good teams, bad teams, blah blah) can't be taken seriously. Otherwise, he'd know the ridiculous number of fouls that Howard draws and that opposing teams plan their entire defense around stopping Howard. He's just twisting stats into nonsense.

What all is said on this thread proves my point in other threads of what I think of T-Mac and Yao.

Some people on this board think that they will be just average players in three years. Heck, I really think that they are average players now.

Yes, it's true they've had their fair share of games when they looked better than average players. It's too bad they don't do it every game. Until we can ever see those two play with fire and passion every game, I'll continue to think of them as average players.

To say they are soft is a way to overrate them. They are as tough as they can ever be.

I hear ya, and that would've been perfectly fine if Yao was more of the 'physical' type, but he isn't. I think Scola's fire and emotional game is a great addition to the team, and he may very well play 'physical' but that still doesn't make him an imposing physical presence in the paint. Hayes plays physical too, but he's undersizes and isn't much of a physical presence either.

    Just wanted to clarify...

5 stars. I said it last year. This team is not going to win it all. Too soft.

I don't think the blame should be on the superstars. Granted they may be a bit overrated by the board, but they shouldn't be expected to be dominant night in and night out. They aren't Kobe and Shaq. However, as a whole, they have both been fairly consistent over the course of the season.

The blame should be on Adelman and the role players.

Is it possible that Adelman isn't the right coach to get the best effort from our squad? I'm sorry, but you can't have a lack of effort and intensity from 75% of the players without blaming the coach.

Tell us, which players are to blame if Adelman isn't at fault? Love to hear it.

I'm with you on this. I believe Tmac is crappy leader. WE're not going anywhere unless he changes his mental game.

Well lets see, we know for a fact that without TMac and just Yao, we are a lottery team, we are 11-41 without TMac or sth ridiculous like that. So I am not sure what you are proving here. It's proven with Yao and its hypothetical that Dwight alone will suck just as much.

You are also saying that only reason Dwight led Orlando is doing better is the 3 point shooting, sure makes sense. But that would mean the ridiculous amount of rebounds and blocks that Dwight averages over Yao while scoring more and at a much better FG%, means nothing?!? Yao got 6 rebounds in today's loss against Toronto after playing over 40 mins!!
