How many times have you executed an unjust law? Be honest. Do you ever feel bad about some of the people you're putting away for bull****? Do you ever feel bad about the people you put away, or about the system you help to prop up? Maybe about the rich folks that get away with it, or the poor who can't afford to?

I love that all these conservative law and order types in this thread are suddenly claiming it is "society's fault". It's like living in bizarro world. Conservatives spent decades arguing that the fault for the crime is all on the criminal. What changed?

BTW, NYC police are basically the last major police force in the US to teach and encourage the choke hold. Almost everybody else has outlawed it as too dangerous, but I really doubt they tell officers that at the police academy. A lot of the blame lies with the police force administration, instead of the individual officer for everything that has happened, but of course it is easier to direct outrage at a single person instead of a nebulous organization.

If the police department really cared that much about its officers, it would have loudly proclaimed this over and over again, fallen on its sword, and publicly proclaimed a policy change.

 

This sounds like my Thanksgiving with my grandpa. I'll tell you the same thing I told him. Go home grandpa, your drunk. The sad thing is he's 80. What's your excuse?

Everyone just wants to throw the blame game around when things like this go down. The guy had a few felonies, so no way he obtained that gun legally, this tragedy should have no correlation to gun control. Some issues have grey/gray areas... This one does not. It's as black & white as a zebra, the guy was a criminal nut case. All blame is his to keep.

 

My excuse is I think for myself and don't let the media brainwash me. Sorry that's not your m. Operandi and you accept violence as the only way to survive in the ghetto.
