here is the link about that CCTV interview

    http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2007-02-19/12312762578.shtml

Q:We all concern the problem how soon will you be back...

Yao: In two weeks. maximum three

Q: Does that mean recover to join full training or play in a game ?

    Yao: Play in games.

Q:Any comments for the performance of Rockets team these days ?

Yao: Terrific! We are striving for home advantage in playoffs and the great record of the team has set a good foundation for that goal.

Q: What makes the difference between this season and the last one ?

Yao: (said with smile) We got plenty of experience on how to deal with the situation of injures. We made good preparation for such situation so that our team had a solid performance this season.

Q: How do you like the playoffs this season?

Yao: We will go very deep in the playoffs this year.

Q: How do you define that "very deep" ?

Yao: Be better than any playoffs I have experienced.

awesome video. he looks like he could play on wednesday so i'm thinking we should be optimistic about this 2 week thing.

he looks good too, stamina will be an issue at first but his strength looks maintained and so does his body-fat level. the guy is clearly dedicated to being the best.

Daymnnn i'm so excited now. our big lion is coming back. i can allready feel every other team shivering at the thought of a MVP mac and MVP yao. just think about it, if other teams go and double tracy, yao will go for 40 or even 50 and vice versa with tracy. god i'm sooooooo excited.

    Looks awesome! Can't wait.

Small comment, but I wish he was wearing the brace during these workouts. That way he could start getting more comfortable wearing it. Other than that, he looks like his conditioning is doing great. I don't think it'll take that long for him to get back into "game shape." Might take a little longer for him to get his timing back.

    Good things to come!!

This made an impression on me. Yao is not the type of player to make rash predictions so if the big fella says the Rox go deep in the playoffs then we must be an NBA finals contender.

Oops, scrub the above I just remembered Yao's quote about Vspan = Nash. Yao is prone to hyperbole just like the rest of us.:)

JVG said if Yao is cleared for full contact practice then he should be able to play as well. JVG said he doesnt understand how Yao will get into game shape unless he plays in games. So hopefully Yao returns to limited practice on the court soon, and then plays shortly thereafter.

JVG also said he will go strictly by what the doctors say. So it is not JVG or the Rox who will be rushing Yao back. If the doctors say no, then Yao wont play.

My guess for Yao's return is March 9th against NJ when they return home from the road trip.

Hey, don't count VSpan out just yet. He may still have a chance to be Nash ;)

Without Yao, we're only 2 games out of home court?

I just can't wait. You KNOW Dallas is probably pretty relieved that they only had to play us once with Yao.

I just hope the team stays focused until he's back, i hope they don't get as giddy as us. Knowing good ol' JVG, he won't let that happen.

    Wow. Great vid.

Yao is an unbelievable athlete for his size.

He has put on alot of muscle since he came into the league. Incredible work ethic has made Yao what he is today.

    Keep it up big fella'.

Oh man. I was hoping he would be ready this Sunday for the Orlando game. I'll keep my fingers crossed anyways that they are trying to spring a surprise on the league. The Rockets have beat the Magic the last two times I've gone, here's hoping for a third w/ or w/out Yao! I don't want to know what it feels like walking out of the Orlando arena w/ a Rox loss.

TNT said yesterday that his leg is FULLY HEALED, but now it's a matter of HOW LONG it takes for him to get into game shape, Yao said that is really out of shape...he haven't been doing nothing but sit on his butt for 2 and a half months...so it's not suprise....
