Do you want one Superstar or 3 Allstars and 2 former MVPs who are not as good individually but not far away either?

They played better not just due to talent but their smarts.

Rpckets with Mchale and Rox with MDA arent comparable, Harden was basically the only holdover from that team no Dwight, Portions, Lin, Asik etc so I dunno what you are trying to say. MDA is a great regular season coach I think thats well established. In the playoffs Rox reached WCF under Mchale and under MDA they also only reached WCF so you can argue there isnt really a difference between clap clap Mchale and clap clap MDA. Noth just like to watch the game like they're getting courtside seats and have 0 clue how to make actual coaching decisions.

Offense and defense are basically the same in the playoffs, if Harden went off for 90 do you think the Rox lose? Saying Offense was good enough...man it can always be better. If Rox made all their shots down the stretch then Curry's 3 pters wont matter.

Bucks didn't "copy" the Rockets, they just use analytics and every good anayltics will tell you mid range bad, 3 pters and paint shots good. They don't iso giannis they hand it off to him and allow him to drive inside.

47% of Giannis' 2 pt field goals and 67% of his 3 pt field goals are assisted. Which part of that indicates he isos a lot? For reference Harden's assisted 2 pt % is 10.5% and his assisted 3 pt% is 16%. Thats somebody who ISOs way too much and Rox need to decide if their goal is just to pump Harden's stats or to actually win a ring.

Bucks offense to me is the perfect blend of analytics and Spurs' like ball movement and team play. Because their offense is so efficient, their players save a lot of energy and they can play intense defense. OTH in our offense 4 people just stand around doing nothing while Cp3 and Harden need to do a dribbling exhibition every single play just to get a shot off.

We could have won comfortably last game if the team had a clue on how to box out. We only gave up a gazillion second chance points.
KD was out Curry on bench with foul trouble, Klay kept them close. Why didn't we just double him, who else on the court is a threat??
I believe we are good enough to beat the Warriors as constructed if we played smarter.

it doesnt matter if we change the coaching and gm if our salary is all locked up paying a washed up bum and a softy center that never shows up to big games. It doesn't help Harden has his own playoff struggles, even though he played pretty well this year but he's already been labeled as an all-time choker.

No not all. No right or wrong here. Just curious to see how everyone feels about the direction going forward.

Sorry, didn't mean it to sound quite so snarky. I was just saying that I knew which camp you were in just from reading your description of the two camps. :)

    Haha.

My thing is that it has been for sometime now. We can point to the 5 point or less deficit on average in all losses in this series and those no-box outs TOs and refs , what not and just say we are so close and why take it down? No other teams come this close to the Warriors.

But, i think it’s not just these little things and the unfortune that prevented us from beating them year after year. We couldn’t beat them to save our life on our floor without their best player in the NBA. This is more than a unfortunate thing and upgrade here and there can fix.

This starts from the philosophy, the practice, coaching, and the entire culture of this team. You take on the personality of your superstar, but that doesn’t mean you can’t build a system to maximize his strength and minimize his weakness.

Oh my not JVG! That guy has around as much offensive creativity as a rock. His idea of offense is dump it into to your star until he drops from exhaustion.

I wouldn't mind someone who thinks like Kerr - he has true all-star talent, let's them ISO but mixes in movement, off-the-ball screens and motion. I would love to have Thibodeaux back for his defensive prowess.

Yes. I co-sign on this 100%! My fear is TF and DM won't want to eat crow (last year TF was like, this is what got us here) and stubbornness will win out over what should be done.

I didn't get that at all from reading your two choices. Some people on here get really sensitive.

I don’t care what he averages if he doesn’t stand up and take charge when it matters. Numbers aren’t everything my friend. Disappointed in him.no. Not surprised at this point. Yes.

And KD was the best player in the series and he had to actually share the ball... wow
