This move makes no since for the Kings. They do get rid of Beno, but they get back a contract that has more money and more years in Salomon and they move back 3 spots.
Biyombo at 7 would be too high im my opinion. Not enough offense for me that high. A 6'9 C that is not built strong could be a problem. B Wallace got away with it because of his strong frame. Bismack is not built like that. Also, how will he do against NBA talent. Pump fakes, faster movement, and more physical game. I can see foul trouble!!!
They wanna draft jimmer later rather than at 7. Salmon puts up stats across the board. Will be good off the bench for them.
Morey is in a more constrained position in trades because he has no expensive contracts to move except for Scola and Martin. The teams that want these guys will tend to be contenders, but then the contenders don't have any draft picks we'd want. On the bright side, his contract management has put us in excellent position to land a big free agent in 2012.

^^ What is it with the sudden insistence that Jimmer Fredette will bring in the fans? Sure, if he's White Chocolate 2.0. Or if he's actually good. Beyond that, he's just an oddity for a bit (potentially athletic white guy who can play, playing in front of a crowd that is probably on the whiter side relative to other teams), but if he sucks, or is even average, and the team still sucks, don't see how that meaningfully impacts attendance for Sacramento. At least for Utah Jimmer has the local thing going for him.
he's white and a college star in a town where the majority of the population is also white its just someone they can identify with better...i mean they all will come out if the team is doing well and sacramento has some passionate fans but in the rebuild period like this if they can get a white guy they can market and feature it will do them well with sales
Ummm, Biyombo probably has more muscle percentage/body weight than any other prospect in the draft. I am willing to bet you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it already, but ESPN says Jackson not happy about trade, but Bucks knew that and think they can smooth things out with him.
Not sure on how the specifics would work, but maybe the Rockets could still make a deal with the Pistons for #8 and allow the Jazz to trade back there and get Jimmer ahead of the Kings.
charlotte makes out of this like bandits... kings dont really care about money so they are not too bad bucks win this trade too charlottes wins,,,,,,ALOT
