If they were/are that hard up for a Von Wafer then there is more to why the Rockets are letting him walk away for nothing, and I'm OK with that. No offense to you of course DD, but I'm banking on the Rockets know more about Von's time while he was here than we may ever know.

Von Wafer following Von Wafer should have been a clue that it was fake.

I agree, I just happen to think that everything they do is not the right move.....Mike James, Steve Francis, Brent Barry...etc.....etc....

And losing Von would be the biggest mistake so far, IMO.

It WILL be easy. We have young, maybe even more athletic James White and Jermaine Taylor (if he develops his game) will be a lot better player. They just need some playing time.

Whether he stayed or left, I had no beef with. But to get nothing out of it, no SnT??

I'm sure there was something out there we could have used? No??

I remember reading (probably on this board) that Von had more than a couple/few blowups with the coach. Probably just him venting, not wanting to come out of the game, that sort of thing. You can appreciate the competitive fire but it's also a good way for someone to shoot himself in the foot.

I think you think the Rox have been looking for a player like him for years more then they think that. Obviously if Von was what they were looking for the past few years they would have made more of an effort to keep him.

I think impact wise, at best Von would be a Matt Barnes type of player. Good bench player, maybe a spot starter, plays well at times and even great in stretches. But never a player that makes a big enough difference that makes a team feel they have to keep him. Phx let him walk, and the Magic are going to be the 7th team he has played on in the last 8 seasons. Von is basically going to be the same.

Overrated.... maybe. I know one thing for sure. This guy can't pass and has had his problems playing within the team.

All that situation shows that organization thinks Taylor or White can easyly replace Wafer next season. They are pretty high on those guys, especially Taylor.

Come on dude :D , I know people don't like McGrady, but i would like to think that the 04-05 McGrady is more athletic than Von Wafer at the very least...but i guess every one is entitled to their opinions.....

Let us all wait until its final. If he stays with the Rockets then good. If He opts to sign with another team then good luck to him. :p

    You must be joking....

James White and Taylor are not proven NBA players right now, Von is....whatever.....let's just wait and see.

True, Cant compare White and Taylor to Von just yet. Like him or hate him, Von contributed to this team. Lets just be patient on how He handles his situation.
