It's a good trade, makes us younger and gives us players with potential yet to be untapped. Morey and the trainers might already think Battier and Landry are at their peak already. They are as good as they will be. It's a classic Morey trade.

Actually Fesenko may be the answer for the center position. Thomas would only play center against small lineups like Phoenix when they play Amare at the C position.

The biggest argument is we don't want to give up players like Battier/Landry are fan favorites, as well as quality role players and the fans on this board want superior talent i.e. Pryzbilla and Fernandez from Portland. I'd love to see Battier remain in Houston for the rest of his career, which is why I hope the trade doesn't go down.

Wow... This trade basolutely fails for us... We trade two high energy, high IQ players for a prospect and a brainfart... I'd say yes to Battier for Rudy + Pryzbilla, but never this... Utah would be a championship contender if this trade works out for them.

hahah wait Utah only gets B. Cook? At least make it look realistic. They are definitely want something in return. Just like us who wants something in return for T-crap.

Is that a joke? We're not gonna just give up Joey Dorsey and Brian Cook. We need something in return.

This is a dumb trade. I thought they meant Tyrus Thomas + Kerilinko (Fesenko? Who the heck is he?). No no no...Battier + Landry is not worth Tyrus Thomas + unknown, not even close.

Oh btw, this is another "Battier type players for Wafer type players" trade, which is pretty much why it fails.

I would do this in a heartbeat.

We trade Shane for young prospects with potential since we won't contend next year anyways. We get Rudy to start as SG, balancing our roster. We take a flier on Thomas, and if he is Stromile Swift 2.0 we simply let him go next year. Plus we get a nice backup C in Fesenko who has room to grow.

Perfect trade for a rebuilding team like we are about to be. Then again I am very high on Rudy Fernandez so maybe thats why I like it.

Believe it or not, if there's a way to give away Boozer without taking back salary, they'd do it. It's all about clearing salary and space for Millsap right now. I'd think Utah would even throw in a 1st rounder if it means getting rid of him completely. See Camby, Marcus.

Oh, and Utah would love to get rid of Kirilenko and his horrible, horrible contract.

Why do posters keep mentioning the Summer of 2010?

What would our pitch be? "Hey, (Amare/Chris/LeBron), don't you want to play with Yao Feet-of-Glass Ming? Oh, I'm sure he won't break down again. TRUST me. What? You think we should change his name to 'Titanic'? Ha ha ha. So, seriously, are you gonna sign this contract or what?"

"Uh, the answer would be, 'What.'" (click)

Daryl Morey would never make this idiotic trade, unless we get like 2 first round picks...1 from utah and 1 from chicago.

I would do this trade. Tyrus Thomas has better defense and can hit the 15ft jumpers like Landry. Then we also get another big man. Get it done Morey!

Sir, did you see that Utah just signed Millsap to $9 mil a year? Do you think they did that to have him as a back up? If you knew the finances of the NBA, you would know that they would give Boozer away for a bottle of scotch and a bag of potato chips if they could right now.

This iteration of the trade is a head scratcher for the Rockets and Jazz in terms of player and salary needs.

With this trade, the Rockets will still have question marks at the 2 and 5, and question marks regarding team chemistry and leadership. The Jazz will pick up redudant positions at the 3 and 4 and reduce their depth at the 5 and their salary situation won't be much better off. But who cares about the Jazz...

And the Bulls get the inside presence they've been coveting? Please make this trade worthy of discussion. It has to work for all 3 teams.
