The trade proposals in this thread are horrible.

No way we get Fernandez. We don't need Brad Miller. Just say no to Hinrich. Horrible, I say.

People complain about Twitter, well, stop with these nonsense trade proposals you guys are making up.

The Twitter trade makes more sense then these other scenarios, especially if we get the Knicks draft pick.

I'm saying I don't think we're in on any Boozer deal, unless it's to get other players here and Boozer elsewhere.

Boozer acts like he wants to be in Miami anyway. UNLESS Chicago thinks they can lure Dwade to his hometown with Olympic buddy Boozer on board, but given the salary cap, Miami getting Boozer is somewhat more likely.

The point being, are we really in on a Boozer deal in any way?

Although I will say, BimaThug's trade proposal seems realistic, even if this is all academic by now.

Today's Rumors quotes boozer wanting to go to Miami.

You will not see Boozer in a Houston Jersey.

Hey guys, the twitter source has updated its info:
    http://twitter.com/SportsUnplugged

Now I don't get it, is this even real, because if it's so then it's absolutely ridiculous and atrocious, oh and horrible too! The only "good" part of this trade is that both T. Thomas and K. Fesenko are expiring next year so it would give the Rockets some posibility to do some damage next summer in the Free Agency.
But still, I for one hate this trade.

Yeah, but I think that update happened about 21 hours ago, as of 10am on July21, so it's been like that for a while...

that twitter entry about les buying out jerome james had already been discussed. you can find it if u look into the first few pages of this thread.

To be honest I just don't see this trade going down. Is Tyrus Thomas a Moneyball player? He's been giving plenty of chances yet he's not really shown he can produce consistently at all. He'd go for 15 points 10 rebs 2 blocks one game and come up with 2 points 3 rebounds the next...

And I'd never give us Landry in any deal here.

Wouldn't Rocket fans be more open to it if we included Cook instead of Landry??? If Utah is to get Battier then Kirilenko would be the SF/PF backup playing behind Millsap and Battier.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Actually cut Brian Cook from that deal to Utah. It works without involving Cook at all and I'm sure Utah wouldn't want to take back an extra 3.5 million of salary.

I like your version of the deal but it seems a little too generous to us...especially with Korver...

    Any thoughts?

With Morey, it's all about the money. I doubt this would go through, however, as much as I would like to see us pick up Fesenko. I agree that Morey is not that stupid. As somebody pointed out earlier, Tyrus Thomas is a Stromile Swift clone. This deal would work for us if we got Utah's New York pick and Cook was thrown in the deal somewhere. Then we could deal Thomas by himself within two days (if I recall the trade rules correctly) to another team for a young shooting guard, although the center spot still troubles me. Chris Mihm and Johan Petro are about all that's left for true centers.

I kinda thought it was quite a bit too generous to us too. I tried to make it a little better for the other teams involved but this is what I kinda based my contrustion of the trade on:

1: Utah wants to cut as much salary as possible as fast as possible removing an unhappy camper in Boozer while getting back as much talent as they can for him.

2: Chicago just wants Boozer. Thomas will be redundant with Boozer on their team at PF and so Thomas is trade bait. They drafted two PF's in James Johnson and Taj Gibson..those two rookies are way more than enough to eat up 15 minutes per night Boozer takes a rest in.

3: We want value for Battier.

So I just thought Utah has Miles, Brewer, at SG already. If they want they can put in Miles in the trade instead of Korver. But Korver is older by 5 years and I checked their stats and their production is almost identical in every way. I guess they want to cut as much 09-10 salary as they can. So Korver makes 5 mil while Miles makes 3 mil. Korver wouldn't be playing as many minutes anyways with Battier eating up all his SF minutes.

So Utah gets to dump salary. They can be a really good young team with Deron, Brewer, Battier, Millsap, Okur and compete.

Take out Brian Cook from the deal and and they send out 19 million worth of salary and take only 13.5 million back. Thats' 5.5 million dollars of instant salary relief. And a unhappy no defense Boozer who wants out for Battier is a pretty good deal for them.

We waive Linton Johnson. and maybe find a taker for Brian Cook. But I don't see Chicago or Utah wanting Brian Cook's contract.

So if you were Utah or Chicago would you do the trade?

This guy also tweeted that Joakim Noah is one of the top 3 centers in the league. He is a Bulls homer who thinks his source is solid but is clearly not. This thread should die already.

Boozer wants to go to Miami. Unless the Jazz want nothing to do with Michael Beasley (which is a possibility), the focus should be on how he ends up there.

    take this again fwiw

i talked to a guy I know that works for the jazz and he just said he heard of this rumor through the internet and not within the jazz organization itself.

granted he is on the lower end of the pecking order within the jazz but he does hear anything that comes through their front office (he told me about them keeping millsap a day before the news broke)

so while there could be some smoke to this fire after speaking to him i would guess to say that this is just plain smoke and no fire.

YoYo, I have heard the same thing that it really is just wishful talk of fans/beat writers. I have posted such. It just seems like people aren't picking this up and still talking about this trade as a possibility just because it's the offseason and they don't have anything better to discuss.
