Tyrus having to deal with Adelmans motion/read react/princeton offense?
The guy will have an aneurysm during training camp. No thanks.

    Not a horrible deal....
Ariza starts at his natural position of SF and gets us some cap space to get a decent SG....gives us a legit opotion at center - ass opposed to undersized.
If the deal did go through, id believe itd b more bout gettin battiers contract off the books and pickin up 2 expiring contracts for next offseason fa crop...
All that said... I'm indifferent on this one.... big fan of Battier... but i gotta believe Morey would have an additional move or two up his sleeve, ;)

    In Morey I Trust.

Also, I think a lot of Rockets fans underrate Fesenko. From what I saw when he played he has Marcin Gortat written all over him. A young backup center who just needs a chance to play to put up solid performances. He played hard and physical, playing to his size, when he got on the floor. For some reason Sloan didn't play him much, maybe he is like JVG and likes to play veterans over young players.

Also, on that youtube video of Fesenko's sense of humor- that host is the worst interviewer ever. He needs to stop doing it because he's terrible at it. Also there's a pretty funny tall guy on our team too...

Elie Seckbach is a terrible interviewer, but his videos are pretty funny and interesting.

we should get rid of battier while he still has value. ariza can do what battier does. though it wont be the same, it's comparable and he's younger.

No way in hell this happens. Utah gets Shane Battier and Carl Landry for Boozer? All the teams know Utah is trying to move him, so his trade value is pretty low right now.

    This thread should be locked.

This trade is not going to happen. No way we give up Landry and Battier for Tyrus Thomas and Fesenko. Houston already have the backup center they need in Anderson. I really dont think that they are going to get another type of center just like him.

I'll reserve passing judgment on this rumored deal until the identity of one "CLaundry" is revealed. Dude probably blows.

People on this board are dense.

It's not about trading our guys for talent. It's about trading for future CAP SPACE.

See: The Pau Gasol trade, the Richard Jefferson trade, the Zach Randolph trade, etc

2 elite perimeter defenders equals success. Morey mentioned this in the Ariza press conference.

We only trade Battier for solid talent. Including Laundry is a deal-breaker.

It depends on what you call "elite", but Kobe and Ariza were two pretty damn good perimeter defenders. Plus, Odom is a very good defender and guarded several guys out on the perimeter.

If the Rockets want to salary dump Battier I'd hazard a guess that they wouldn't need to give up Landry to do so.
