was bruce bowen a great or good scorer? Shane's bread and butter is his D, not his O, we all know it, it is what it is and having a lock down defender is a must unless you just wanna be a lottery team and forget bout playing D.

let's not bash carl for missing games cause of injury, cause every freakin players in the league misses games due to injury, part of the game.

Ronnie Brewer would make more sense cause he's expiring, but the Jazz are trying to sign him to a long term deal.

Source: "Talks are impending on hourly basis, though, one Personnel(L.Alexander) would rather have the opportunity to buyout Jerome James."

From the same twitter link, sorry if someone already posted this little update.

I keep coming back to thinking a 1st round draft pick is involved and that plus a look at the young players is the only reason we are involved in the talks at this point. (if indeed we are involved)

The Lakers don't have a one-dimensional lock down player. Neither did the Celtics.

Shane is a good guy, but he sucked last year. It's time to move him. He is only going to get worse.

Who's getting carried away. Not me. I would rather keep Landry over Thomas.

I'd do it, mainly because I'm more of a fan of defensively sound players and high energy guys like Tyrus Thomas. Yeah you lose a little offense with Carl but usually trades need to benefit both sides. Our defense gets better and other guys on our team can pick up the scoring slack.

I agree. You would think the rockets could get way more than a Tyrus Thomas for Battier and Landry. If you could get Thomas and Brewer, I would be content.

I was secretly hoping we would trade Landry and maybe Brooks for an upgrade at point like Sessions or someone, but not another pf. My reason is that I want to see Joey Dorsey get minutes at PF and see if he can rebound and block shots the same way he did in Summer League. Maturing comes with minutes.

Are you saying the trade is not being discussed or certain aspects?

From that blog, it sounded like the correct trade the Rockets might bite on was (and from my perspective good for all involved):
    Houston gets:
    Thomas - replaces Landry (better)
    James - salary dump
    Fesenko - adelman center

    Houston Trades:
    Battier (ariza replacement ready)
    Landry (thomas replaces)

    Bulls get:
    Boozer

    Bulls Trade:
    JJames
    Thomas

    Jazz Trade:
    Boozer
    Fesenko

    Jazz Get:
    Battier
    Landry
