You must have missed the Boston series yet nothing vs landry but Thomas is a better athlete while I BELIEVE has a better upside especially in an uptempo game along with like someone else said the Cap Ramification are a big reason this idea is even being considered!

At some point we have to get on with rebuilding this team to complete for a championship. IMHO, Shane, Tmac, and Yao will not be apart of that championship team. I like Carl Landry on the offensive end, however, his post D and rebounding needs improvement.

    I like a 3yr building lineup of
    Tyrus Thomas
    Trevor Ariza
    Aaron Brooks
Scola (I can still see Rasheed telling Rick to get Scola off him, because Rasheed was killing him on the blocks)
    Anderson
    Chuck Hayes
Von (only if he gets his head right)
JWhite (looked lost in summer league and frail)
    Kyle Lowry
    Budinger
    Taylor

    I second this ^.

If Morey does pull a move like this, I doubt, it will more than likely not be more for the services but for their contract instead. We want to maximize our probability of landing a star in 09-10 FA. :D

I watched the Boston series. I never said Thomas wasn't a better athlete. Infact I said Thomas is an athlete while Landry is a basketball player. Thomas has Stro Swift written all over him. Bulls GM watched the Boston series and every game Tyrus has ever played before drafting 2 PFs and actively trying to get Boozer. Thomas does not have a brain.

Hearing Sam Smith report it. Always a good thing if you don't like the deal.

Then why sign ariza. It would seem like morey is running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Either we trying to rebuild with pieces or go sign bosh. In either case morey needs to make a decision.

The jazz need to dump salary so I doubt this trade his true. I mean they will be paying 24 mil for boozer. They might pay 30 mil with this deal.

This is a trade from a Chicago fan because it only benefits the Bulls. Tyrus Thomas is athletic but the rest of his game is trash. Morey would not do this trade in order to make another team better. I would just keep Landry and Battier. For someone to put that trade rumor out there, they must think the Rockets are a bunch of fools and we would be willing to trade our remaining roster for garbage. Without Yao and Tmac, we are better than the Bulls so why should we trade for any of their players. As much as I hate him, I would rather the Rockets target Boozer or some other rotation player on the Jazz than anything on the Bulls roster. This trade rumor is a joke!!!!

I wouldn't mind cutting out the middle man.

    Trading Shane+Landry for Boozer alone.

Boozer expires and maybe giving him a test run could be better than Thomas+Fesenko.

    Ariza = Shane's replacement.

Look, people need to come to grips that IF Morey does these sort've cost cutting deals, like this thread, the Rockets are gearing up to be competitive in ONE year and down the line.

A healthy Yao, Ariza with a full year and minutes to grow offensively, another year for Brooks to grow, a big time FA signing, AND a lottery pick most likely, maybe two to groom talent as we go forward.

When a Morey trades a Shane Battier it's not to be a bottom dweller, a 5 year rebuilding process.

It's to make this Rockets team as competitive as possible come 2010 when Yao comes back

one of these days that sam smith is going to get it right.
I don't like the trade at all. I want max value for shane if we have to trade him, and he has that value to a contender. We just have to find a memphis for a 3 way deal.
