If X was the hyped metaverse zuck wants us to live in, then it would be skynet bots overruning the hoomans.

What kind of research do you need to go beyond google? I'm generally fine with search results, though I do skim through obvious garbage and might hit a third page if they still have it.

I'm fairly diligent pruning twitter feeds against engagement bait, but it mostly recreational and not in a serious capacity.

Haven't used wiki much. Ironically, i use chatgpt for general Q&A along with the stuff i find through googling for context reinforcement

41b is the current market valuation as of today. Thats down 3b since Musk bought it. I’m surprised it’s only down 9.3% but expect it to continue its slide. If FB hadn’t flubbed the Threads launch (it is boring and a not an upgrade), X would be down much more.

I guess paparazzi and lies sell, but I don’t buy them.

This is yet another thing Neil Stephenson predicted in Fall.

He tells of an online landscape whereby people subscribe to Editor services, whereby humans filter your feed. And to attract students, universities will market tailored Internet safe zones for their students.

Content monetization has killed engagement on X. Its still a good source of information.

X needs to push private inclusive communities and make its Spaces better. I am not sure if X really cares about engagement. The free-for-all feed sucks and the X Pro is a crappy solution.

Not if the earning from AI content is > cost. And I heard AI bot is pretty good at optimization.
