Of all the cities right now, they're the ones that need it most. I don't see them getting past the Yankees, but at least give them something to cheer for just a bit longer.
Rick Porcello is going for the Tigers and if memory serves me correct, he has pitched very well against the Twins. Look, I don't see either one of these teams winning against the Yankees, but the Tigers have the better chance of pulling the upset with Verlander and Jackson in their rotation. So, go Tigers!!
I've rooted for both teams at different points of my life. Not sure I'm rooting for one or the other, but I can't wait to check out the game
Twins. Small market team riding MVP Mauer with their other MVP out. I love it. Twins are the only team in their division with a positive run differential.
You'll be a lot more likely to see that from the Twins. Small ball ftw. Hope the Tigers and their overpaid wife-beating drunk go down in flames.
That's certainly more likely. Remember that diving/twisting play he made in the 2005 NLCS where he didn't actually tag the runner going to 2nd but fooled the ump into thinking he did. It was a sweet looking play even though the replay showed it was a blown call.
the play he made turning that double play from Bruntlett to end the game vs. the Cardinals was beyond ridiculous.
