I mentioned this in Jeff's thread, but decided I don't want to derail it. Did any of you guys watch this mini-series? I saw it at the time, and really liked it... but was only around 10 at the time. My dad gave it to me as a Christmas present this year... and I really loved it! To me, it ranks up there among the best shows ever made. So quicky and funny and suspenseful all at once... Problem is, after the famous question "Who Killed Laura Palmer" was solved, interest waned, and only 29 episodes were ever made. The director got angry, and pretty much ruined the show in the last episode. He (David Lynch) made a movie prequel, "Fire Walk with Me" which made a tidy profit in theatres. There were always rumors that he wanted to make a movie of the "real" ending of Twin Peaks, in which Agent Cooper enlists the help of the White Lodge in defeating the demonic presence Bob... but it's never happened. Did any of you watch this show? Have any of you heard that a movie might be made eventually?
I loved the whole Twin Peaks series. Lynch is like, out there... Anyone see Eraserhead? Now that's a trippy movie!
This thread needs a bump, for some further discussion and praise for this one of a kind show, that was plenty weird.
Be forewarned, I've heard a lot of people online complaining about audio sync issues (especially on Fire Walk With Me and the deleted scenes). I plan on buying it, but I'm waiting for this to be cleared up.
Binge watched it about 3 years ago. Loved every minute. One of the all time great series. Now I'm going to kick back and relax with nice piece of cherry pie.
The score for the show was fantastic. Still one of my all time favorites. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/dTp6d7Bw79A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
/thread. Speaking of the restaurant, Draft beer served at 29 degrees. How was the experience for those that have gone.
Cooper, so smooth <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/zFxCrC_Cs38?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Have not watched it but I don't see how you can say Lynch ruined it. He left and then came back at the end of season 2 to save it.
Audrey, so talented <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/7rFWZCEYxyU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I remember many girls trying to twist a cherry stem with their tongue after watching this.
Kinda related, but there was a show that just ended on USA called Psych. They did a tribute episode to this miniseries. It was called Dual Spires and it was great.
