Yeeeaaaahhhh... the problem is figuring out what.

We're both really lazy when it comes to hair, and like to keep it shaved down short... especially considering that with both of us, when our hair gets a little longer, it tends to stick up on one side and lay flat on the other. So if one of us wanted to grow it out, we'd have to be using gels and such to make it not look like crap. Neither of us is that motivated.

We both laugh at the idea of earrings.

We're both semi-business-types, to where we feel like getting a tattoo in an obvious place might be frowned upon.

The one obvious thing I can think of is to grow out a goatee like I used to, but I like to shave only once every two or three days, and that looks really ****ty when you have a goatee.

Oh well. We'll have to keep thinking on it.

...and meanwhile, barely anyone has answered my original question. Boooooooo. :D

while changing physical appearance may help some, others will still get it wrong. my twin and i look nothing alike except that we are both chinese. she's 3 inches taller than me and has really long hair (at least a foot longer than mine) and i highlight my hair and keep it short. she looks our age and i look like i'm...well, i still get carded 90% of the time.

You have to disfigure your brother. It's the only way. Then he'll have to wear an ugly mask the rest of his life. The two of you will easily be distinguished. But shoned by the gay community for his disfigurement your brother goes into hiding. He'll never know true love. Only lonliness. And so every day he pines for the life he never had. Always wondering from the confines of the swamp, that place that is neither water nor land, but some miserable thing inbetween, what could have been, and never was. Sitting next to him will be Karl Malone and John Stockton. Two hideous creatures only rumored to still be alive. But they are not alone. You too will be disfigured, on the inside. For you will never know where he is, only hearing now and again of some masked man commiting heinous crimes. You will always wonder, was it your brother who mangled that kitten and slung him over a dead woman? Then one day werrd things start to happen to your life. And it doesn't dawn on you, until at last, someone passing you by says hello. The thing is, you don't know who it is. And suddenly you realize he's in town. Your long lost brother is back. But why, to kill you? To seek out revenge? And now you're nerves are peacked at every sound and noise. You look around every corner, wondering, what step will be your last. And that is the life you will lead. But at least, for a few years, there was no confusion.

I didn't know there was a question being asked? I thought you just wanted witty comments to be posted.

You can talk to another gay dude or to anyone who gives you a flirtatious look. In the conversation you will find out if you're attracted to that person or not (whether you're gay or not). Lastly, you can politely say that your poop hole is a one-way street. :D

Yea, why not say hello. It doesn't hurt to say hello to anyone regardless of who they think you are or are not. It would hurt both you and your bro. if you started ignoring people just because you think the perceive you differently.

That's my first instinct, but for some reason, my experience seems to indicate that ignoring them makes for short-term anger and long-term amusement (from all sides), while greeting them seems to result in longer-term embarrassment on their part. Except, looking at that, that doesn't really make logical sense to me. At all. I wouldnt think it would be that way, or seem to be that way.

Which is why this is such a difficult question for me. But thanks for your input. :)

Oh right, the original question. I'm the sort of person that will give some sort of greeting or acknowledgement (verbal or otherwise) of passers-by whether I know them or not. But, it's a measure halfway between ignoring the person and interacting with them. There's no indication of recognition of their person, only their presence. I'd use something like that. There's no embarassment in greeting someone who responds like that because when you realize your mistake, you can tell yourself the other person obviously thought you were just a passer-by saying hello.

    Agree on a distinct greeting?

That kind of works, except it can be a little awkward when you're wading through a crowd of 20 people, and this one person singled you out to say hello to. But it could work a lot of the time, I think...

Wow... I never thought of that. I mean, it might get to be restrictive/repetitious, but it's an idea. I'll have to think about that one.
