He played pretty well in the 2nd half against mostly scrub players, much more in control. He has to find his comfort zone and not try to do too much. DD
Scrubs or no scrub you are right he just has to play in control and the sky is the limit for TWill. Coach KM will get him going.
T-Will is a nice athlete, but he doesn't have a high basketball IQ and he still makes stupid decisions. It does seem some here have fallen in love with him just because he acknowledges this site, but on a good, playoff contender he's nothing more than the 8th or 9th man in the rotation. If I'm a coach, I don't trust him on the floor. He's a poor outside shooter and his only good moments tonight came against the scrubs of the scrubs for the Spurs. It's no coincidence he struggled in the first half against the more solid players and flourished late when neither coach really gave a hoot.
He has proven plenty against great competition as well. Check out his rookie gamelog. THAT is "no coincidence"...
Lol. You forgot the times when we had a good starting five and a not so good bench....including Luther Head or a good bench and a bad starting five...... Balance is key
heh, maybe not bench of the century, but I know what you mean. Looks like that could be an extremely effective group. And right now that is where twill belongs. Once he settles down like he did in the second half, he should really flourish.
As others have said, he needs to work within the system and not carry all the weight on his shoulders. Hes got great passing abilities, that are essential if you are going to throw the oppositions's defense off. It still seems that he rushes things a bit and gets stuck, bottom line is he needs to slow it down and let it come. No matter what sport, nobody just busts out and becomes a star. Some develope faster than others, but any talent has to learn the fundamentals. This is a team sport, and one player can change the chemistry of the team. Just because he can make awesome plays, doesnt mean it is good for the team. At least he took risks when the score was up, if he made some of the plays he tried if we were down i would have been pissed. I have faith in him and wont write him off, hes exactly what this team needs.

Op is dumb. I feel that Twill has the most potential to be something on our team. Scrubs or not, he is playing against NBA players playing for a chance to stay in the league(guys playing very hard). 14 points and 9 boards is impressive in this league, regardless. Half of clutchfans is freaking out about Jimmer's performance, but oh wait he did it against "scrubs" too. Wait for more than one half of a PRESEASON game to call a players career.
Twill's playing time will depend on his ability to protect the ball, make shots, and rebound. Last night was a mixed bag - too many turnovers, but good shooting, and EXCELLENT rebounding. Sure a lot of it was against guys that will never see a real NBA game, but the first half seemed like he was really nervous. He is a smart guy, he knows this is probably his best shot at getting in the rotation.....the problem is we are STACKED at the 2/3 position.....gonna be tough...someone needs to go...... DD
He was the first guy off the bench, so he is off to a good start. Let's not forget the VAST improvement that he brings to the defensive end. He is the best perimeter defender we have on the team, by all accounts. That is what is going to get him on the floor.
