I dont mind Twill coming off the bench, he works well with Lee. Also, I could see Twill being very successful playing pick and roll with Patterson. That trio would be fun to watch off the bench.
Chase Budinger Height: 6' 7" Weight: 206 Wingspan: 6' 7" Standing Reach:8' 5" Terrence Williams Height: 6' 6.25" Weight: 213 Wingspan: 6' 9" Standing Reach: 8' 7.5" T-Will is not too short to play SF. I don't know about him starting SF, but he does play way better defense than Budinger.
I prefer bud in the starting lineup since he need good players to set him up. However Twill needs to get more minutes because he's a better player in almost every aspect of the game outside of 3 point shooting.
It also is not really about how tall you are. It's about how tall you play. T-will plays taller than Chase because guys are not going to jack up a guy with longer reach and also can jump up and possibly block the shot. I think the point is he'd guard most SFs better than Chase would any ways.
T-Will should start over Bud. Williams defense will offset Martin's bad defense. Then Bud can come and give a spark off the bench.
too early to tell, but chase played alot better under adleman. me thinks coaching change has a little to do with chase regressing in this game.
twill looked under control, hit 2 3's, drove to the basket, and most importantly...looked like he gave a DAMN on DEFENSE. ...yes he got beat by hedo but he was up in his grill and making him work for it. everything else will come. he knows who the leader of the team is (KL7) and wont compete to run the point when they are playing together. this was evident late in the game.
Might as well rename this to The Official Twill Should start instead of Bud thread, because this is going to get very close to the Lowry over Brooks saga. Funny how DD is likely to end up on the wrong front, twice.
i dont doubt that, especially if twill stays this consistent and under control. i liked how he approached the game.
If the choice is Bud when he's not shooting lights out (which he is capable of doing), McHell doesn't want the rook, Morris, out there (understandable) and the other choice is Williams as he played last season, and as he played tonight, which is all I have to go on, then absolutely. Start Lee at the three. God, I'm glad the season is finally on!!
I think we should trade Martin and Budinger for some other good Small Forward. Put Twill at the shooting guard position along with Courtney Lee.
Neither impressed me much Chase did play an allround game but forgot to defend and score. Twill scored but forgot to involve teammates. This is just depressing. Well Patrick and Marcus gives us hope.
