Speaking of Cleopatra 2525, I remember when it was paired with Jack of all trades. I never cared for Cleopatra, but I looked forward to every episode of Jack. Can a show with Bruce Campbell really be a guilty pleasure? Or maybe it's the reverse, can a show with Bruce Campbell NOT be a guilty pleasure? As for other guilty pleasures, besides some of these lame reality shows that everybody watches, my biggest one was a show called special unit 2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Unit_2 It was a show about a police task force that focused on combating paranormal crime. It was like the x-files combined with a cop show with a healthy dose of campiness. It was kind of dumb and obvious, but it was fun.
current tv shows? i watch pants off dance off on fuse whenever i see a semi-hot chick on those E! and vh-1s hottest 25 women/new actresses crap old shows as a kid? pokemon (though i didnt watch every episode) and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - i watched way too many of these
I've tried to watch that one, but just couldn't do it. Those bimbos are so dull and uninteresting that it actually trumps the fact that they're playboy playmates.
I wake up on Saturday mornings and watch cartoons. The Batman and Legion of Super Heroes rule. Atleast you don't watch Kim Possible.
I DVR classic cartoons on Boomerang to play on Saturdays. My guilty tv would be Dog the Bounty Hunter. I cant turn it off when it comes on.
I loved the Anna Nicole Show when it was on. I don't know if this is a guilty pleasure, but I always catch the I Love the 70's, 80's 90's, shows on VH1. And another vote for AFHV. I dont care how far civilization has advanced, even when we live in cities on the moon, seeing people fall down and get hit in the nuts will aways be funny.
One Tree Hill. Season 1 was decent, especially since it was just as much about basketball as it was a soap opera. But at this point I'm just watching it for the hot women. Grey's Anatomy ordinarily wouldn't be a guilty pleasure. But Season 3 was pretty bad, so it now qualifies.
I keep trying to get into Legion, but the lack of diverse personalities, differing power levels, and character development kinda bores me. I felt the same way about the first couple seasons of The Batman too, and now I love that show, so hopefully LOSH will improve as well (the next season seems to be making a lot of changes, what with all the characters aging and the new badass superman clone). I guess the Timmverse had me spoiled. No complaints about Avatar though. That is a great show with prenty of complexity. Skews much older than most Nick toons, with a fanbase that's probably most involved in the 14-25 age group, so I don't feel so guilty about liking it. Liberty's Kids has a catchy theme song...
Yea, the new season starts late September. I don't like the look of some of aged characters(huge, wide chests) but I hope the story is still entertaining.
i love the road rules/real world challenges. i don't even watch actual real world or road rules but these inferno/gauntlet things are addicting. i've watched a good chunk of some of those vh1 shows. i too like hogan knows best.
Mostly game shows. Deal or No Deal (the stupidest concept ever but I can't stop watching), Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, One vs. 100, Cash Cab, etc. Also still love the old school ones like Family Feud. I'm hanging on by a thread with Kill Point on Spike. Two of my best friends are on it so I'm trying, but the writing is horrible. I can't stomach Grey's Anatomy at all and I have an old friend on that too. We went to high school together and I played her dad in a play even though she's black and I'm white. Tried to watch Judging Amy too when one of my best friends was a regular but I just couldn't. Hoping to be a fan of his new show Big Bang Theory premiering this fall.
I can't believe they removed Teen Titans and put a dull/bland cartoon like Legion in it's place.. Teen Titans > Legion
