They got away from keeping it simple yet having a deeper layer if you wanted to dig for it. Red Dead Redemption was easy to understand. Delores had a real journey that we could all relate to. She wanted out. Humans wanted in. That's fun. Simple. I think the key to science fiction is that the actions of the characters have got to based on real life scenarios and emotions. I am worried they will make the exact same mistake in the Peripheral. But I would love to seem them learn from their mistake, and deliver a Bio Shock based tv show. That needs to be made by people who can make it look cool and deliver on the emotion.
