    Halloween Reaction:

Delores: I did not pick up on this myself, but was pointed out if you watch the cuts you will see her in an environment all alone ( or just with William ), and then one second later in the same environment with a lot of people, as if she's come back to the same location a second time to investigate for clues to the maze. Watch those cuts! As in the MIB/William brought her to a location once, and now she wants to know why so she came back herself. Also, we see her naked for the first time in an interview, interesting.

Maeve: Key word being "Eve". She is learning how to cross between worlds. she's spreading the virus. No doubt the beginning of something big that's going to happen. She seems more aware than Delores, almost like she's outside of Ford's sightline on purpose, and Delores did that on purpose.

    Arnold:
They gave another hint that he's alive ( Have u talked to Arnold, "I didn't say anything"), and that's he's dead ( It's been 35 years since I talked to him ). Seems like Arnold and MIB and William would all be on the same side and can't disconnect from the hosts and world. I think he's alive for the simple reason that it creates conflict.

MIB: Who is he going after next? Meeting with Ford interesting...as they seem at odds, where Ford wants to be God and control hosts, and MIB wants to free them through trauma. May be on the exact same path as Arnold ( if he did die ) as he seems to want to be a part of the world, loves the hosts, and maybe even become part host.

Ford: He's checking in on Delores. And he's watching. He's got to stop Arnold. Still think a big War is about to happen between Arnold and Ford in the current timeline.

Chips: Somebody is doing some remote tracking. Who is that?

The Bird: I did not quite figure this part out. The guy obviously figured something out with the Bird, and Maeve learned something from it.

The War: Big Host War is building in the William timeline. And something is going to happen to Delores in it. Not sure if this is the event where Arnold theoretically dies or not.

Logan and William and Lawrence: Invested in the Park. William starting to go psycho on the hosts. gunning them down. William and Lawrence ( wanted host ) bonding. But MIB is draining his blood in current timeline.

Overall: High quality. Lots of little things to think about.

Also, if you play Red Dead Redemption again, like I am, it's crazy how many similarities there are. And while playing, I feel a lot like the guests in how I react to the events happening all around me. Like, don't fall for that suck in. There's no doubt in my mind they took stuff from the game.

Latest episode seems to confirm multiple time lines with Lawrence stuff. I still think Bernard is a host and more so think he may even be the reincarnation of Arnold in host form. I re-watched some earlier episodes, and my thoughts on Ford foreshadowing the fact that they could put a consciousness into a host are still there but I am leaning towards that being Bernard instead of Ford. It seems more likely that he was telling Bernard we can do this, in fact we did it to you.

I'm struggling to care about anything that is happening on this show right now. of course that could change.

Each episode is packed with so much information, definitely will need to rewatch all the way through once it's all said and done......really well crafted show....

I love the production, Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris, but I agree. Very mediocre execution of the plot so far.

I really like this show, but the orgy scenes seem to be so unnecessary and were placed in there just to scream out "Hey, we are HBO!". I also find most of the dialogue in this episode to be trite. This is the worst episode in the series so far.

I think the tech was learning how to "heal" a host and bring it online? I can see Maeve demanding to learn how to do this so that she can eventually bring all those host (especially the ones in the lower levels) back online.

I agree. I hate forced nudity/sex scenes. But I guess I prefer to see T&A as filler than CW drama.

I dont recall there being animals except horses. I think it was just an experience with hacking and creating new beings.

I believe the MIB was using the blood from that one guy to 'heal' the other.

There were also scenes were guys were shot full of holes, drinking milk, and the milk coming out of their bullet holes.

I stopped reading Crichton books because of this. His trope is technology gone haywire. They also seemed to be written with a screenplay in mind with gratuitous action scenes and half baked love interests.

The gist I get is this Arnold person did something to the robots in code (or a few of them to start anyway). And, this code can maybe spread through a virus or there are triggers for each robot that can spark these changes. And, there is obviously a 35 year gap between when something starts happening with the robots versus before where it was 35 years of normalcy in the robot West. Now, whether Arnold is alive or not, it seems to me Arnold is dead or did a good job faking death...because everyone believes he is dead as a matter-of-fact. But, that begs the question of why the long gap in his plan and who is pulling the robot strings now? Are the robots becoming more aware because some scheduled routine kicked in 35 years later to rain down on Ford's parade? Or, is someone in the here-and-now embedding code into the robots now that is changing them, their behavior, and their motivations? Or, are the robots evolving on their own because of (intentional) bugs or memory leaks in their programming?

It was interesting to see that the robots appeared to be actually hurting Logan by choking him. Obviously, the robot guns are worthless to the robots. But, I thought the robots weren't set up to hurt anyone. Yet, there is Logan getting choked pretty good. Not sure what they did to him when William left? It seemed like an ominous departure when William left him...like that was it and Logan looked scared. Are these robots off their programming rockers already...so to speak? Or, was it still just the game?

It's a bit hard to follow every little thing and nuance here to judge whether it is normal or something more grand/sinister. It's interesting, though.

    Airframe:

Technology works perfect (no haywire). Pilot allows unqualified son to fly plane. Cover up ensues. Science save the day. No romance (divorced protagonist) No gratuitous action "scenes" (it's a book).

I think the only story where "tech" goes haywire is Westworld and that was a movie.

I enjoyed Airframe. But there is tech gone awry in Prey too. Rising Sun was also good and no tech going bad.

I am guessing here but I think because this was further from the main town, the host-rules are different. They have mentioned a few times that the park becomes more dangerous the further out you go. I am assuming the hosts can harm guests but may not actually kill them. Or maybe they can, if it falls under a narrative where the hosts are to kill the guests in a storyline, unless they find a way to escape or kill the host. This could be for the thrill-seeker types looking for games with higher stakes.

That how I took it as well, it's been mentioned various times about how much more extreme the experience gets the further you get away from Sweetwater.

I would assume the host can do harm but just not kill.

The conversation with Ford and the MIB did show off the host's Samaritan reflex when MIB threatened Ford with the knife......

I haven't followed the entire thread, so, for the alternate timeline theorists...
Has the possibility been discussed that
I thought that the Ford/MIB interaction was more about showing Ford wield his absolute control over the entire park again, not a robot samaritan reflex. After the interaction, the robot was completely healed and ready to press on whereas moments before he was weak and reluctant.

I like to listen to podcasts for opinions / things i may have missed / theories. I've tried different ones (like 7 or 8 of them) and I find these to be the bests, in no particular order :

    Without Limits : A Westworld Podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/without-limits-westworld-podcast/id1161448202?mt=2

    Westworld Post Show Recap http://postshowrecaps.com/category/westworld/
I find that most podcasts by Post Show Recaps are good. GoT, Walking Dead, Mr. Robot, Better Call Saul, ...

    Shat on Podcasts https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/westworld/id1149518638?mt=2
These guys did not like the direction the show is going, so if you have a difference of opinion, you may not enjoy them. I still enjoy them.

Well I'm completely sold on the multiple timelines / Non-Linear Timeline Theory.

Here is a good video on it for those who care to see it:
