Melanie's 1st performance was really short. I don't know why it was cut there. As awesome as she sounds, really wish it had been a bit longer. Other than that, great as usual. Marcus Canty just ruined one of my favorite songs with his initial performance of "Ain't Nobody" (can't touch Chaka or even Kelly Price's version). That was not cool. Ok, he definitely sounded off key here to me. Better hope Chris Rene doesn't pull votes this week because he's likely going home. Judges loved it though. Whatever. Maybe I'm just not in a musical mood tonight. I found Rachel's 1st performance to be pretty meh. Not bad, not particularly good, just boring. Judges loved it. Whatever. Even the host is like, "Wow, they uh, really liked you...for some reason." Josh's 1st performance was decent with a take on a song Rihanna performed on this same show. Brave move there, but I felt it was actually pretty good and showed some versatility. Judges were split. F--k it. Chris Rene 1st time around was like..okay, I think. When he was on his own lyrics it was good, but when the chorus came around he returned to less-than-stellar. His energy was really infectious, so I'm not surprised the judges loved it. It seemed to really connect with the audience. That quality could carry this dude another week... Of course Melanie totally killed it with her thrown together 2nd performance. It is so f-ing unfair to pit a person with such an amazing voice against others in this kind of situation. Prep time? She don't need no stinkin' prep time. She'll blow you away regardless. Marcus's 2nd performance was good. Not amazing, but definitely better than his 1st imo, and he exploited his ability to connect to the emotions of his song. Don't think it'll save him from bottom 2 next week though, but good. Would figure the 24 hour turnaround would really hurt Rachel on her 2nd performance, being so young, and for a moment, I thought it did. She started off kinda shaky and off-key, but found her voice towards the middle, and was great from there on. I wound up really enjoying it. She should be safe, but you never know with the Chris Rene Faction out there. Josh's encore was very emotional and the minimal instrumental really brought out his voice, which of course, is where he shines. I thought it was really good. I kinda agree with the Judges' "male Adele" description. Ahhh sh-t. Chris Rene is doing an original song. This is right up his alley. And he's playing a guitar? haha, oh man. I liked it, even though the lyrics were rather simple. Jumps him up over Marcus and probably will garner enough chick votes to put his ass through another week. This dude here... lol. It couldn't have possibly been a worse time to pull out Dance Week for Josh. I thought he did great on his song, though... but apparently the judges didn't agree. Luckily, his second song was outstanding. And the slobbering over Chris Rene needs to stop. It doesn't take a "great artist" or even an "original artist" to repeat "Where do we go from here?" 25 times in one song.
I think yall are going to be shocked to see that Josh will be the bottom two. Simon got it write, he is just weird and not cool. He needs to lose weight, cut his hair, fix his teeth, get control of his skin and even when the guy smiles he looks weird. I also don't get why Paula and Nicole were acting like teenage chicks last week building Marcus up, it's all pretty strange. Especially considering it was drew that went home. If anyone needed consoling it was her. This show is just strange. I also think that chris rene is far better than you guys give him credit for. He is by far the most interesting contestant left in the competition.
I won't be at all surprised with Josh in the bottom two... as long as Marcus is the other one and he goes home. This is the first week I have actually liked a Chris Rene performance... and it wasn't even all that great.
I've given up on Chris Rene leaving. He's going to be here all the way to the end. I don't see any way Marcus Canty doesn't go home tonight, though. I mean, in the bottom 2 three weeks in a row? Going up against Rachel tonight? See you later Marcus
Nicole is going to send Rachel home. I can see it. She had no enthusiasm on Rachel's song, but she was blowing up on Canty's dumb arse.
Rachel just might have pulled out the best performance of the season to date tonight. That performance was out-freaking-standing.
the judges have been reviewing badly lately... LA and Simon have been to harsh on Josh so that their talent can win. KARMA baby!
Both Drew and Rachel, two of the most talented singers on the show become causalities of those douchebag. After this show he will be in oblivion, you can count on that.
Seeing the second most talented singer (after Josh) cry tonight really made me sad. Nicole has no business being up there and I hope she has her period LIVE ON TV nxt week while she wears a white dress
