He's fantastic in this show, the girl detective takes some time getting used to but overall a good show worth watching...It has gotten better with each episode...

Had it on the DVR and finally got caught up.
Gotta say, this is probably the best new show on TV- network and cable. I know "Ray Donovan" is on as well and I guess that would be the best new show on premium cable.

Love the actors and storyline, my only quibble is it seems to follow the main points of the Scandinavian version.

Definitely gives one something to watch other than "Devious Maids" and :Mistresses".(Don't judge- Roselyn Sanchez and Alyssa Milano are bad women):eek:

this show started off a little slow and is getting better each week, ray donovan, however, started off strong, and has declined rapidly. debating whether or not to give that another week.

Rly? What differentiates it from any other murder mystery show (Longmire, CSI, L&O)? I was hoping for an actual show about the border (in the same way The Wire shows life on the streets of Baltimore), but this show has absolutely nothing to do with the border.

Never heard of Longmire, but CSI and Law and Order are procedurals, The Bridge is serialized - is the simple answer.

that is a difference but it still doesn't make this show unique. The Glades, Elementary, The Mentalist, etc... are all exactly the same as this show and are not procedurals.

The Bridge is a fairly generic murder mystery so far. It just happens to be placed on the border. It's annoying because the Mexican border would make for some really interesting television too. Instead we get 'quirky detective gotta catch the serial killer on the loose'. So trite

Personally I like the characters and actors. Typically I hate these kind of shows but I agree they haven't dug into the border stuff very much. They've touched on it in passing, so hopefully they'll expand on it at some point.

There have been some (supposed) across the border Juarez scenes... I liked the one where the Juarez detective was getting permission from whom ever El Jeffe might have been (amidst caged tigers - a veiled reference to a not so long ago Tijuana mayor?).

and then there are the kidnappings and murders taking place there - again, no reason to believe the producers are taking their asses over there; but are at least portraying they are. And now we have the reporter hanging in Juarez with his co-worker and her family. I'm willing to let things unfold...

    I enjoyed tonight's episode.

I had to rewind the DVR a few times to distinguish if Marco said "I have a family" or "I'm family" when the killer had a gun to his head. I'm pretty sure he said the latter.

I very briefly thought that the detective with the mustache could be a suspect, if only because when standing over the girl in the desert, as Sonia and the chief leave, the girl begins to make really distressed sounds she hadn't been while Sonia patted her with a washcloth. But, there's no way he could have made it to the warehouse to kill the FBI agent and confront Marco.

Really, I have no idea. I still lean toward the guy Sonia hooked up with from the bar because his sudden appearance at the station seemed too convenient.

I do find myself liking every side story more than the main murder plot. The characters are great and how they're interwoven is interesting. I guess that bodes well for the future.

i'd also like to go on the record to say that Annabeth Gish could get the business.

watching Diana Kruger (fap fap) on The Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson.

she just said the character she plays (Sonia) has aspergers syndrome, thus explaining her awkward demeanor in the show. for those of you who thought she was just a bad actress.

Looking forward to The Bridge tonight. It's still on FX and not whatever or where ever FXX is. The Bridge is starting to remind me of Twin Peaks.

I enjoyed it, they wrapped the major storyline, surprised the kid actually died. Curious to see what happens to Marco after being run through the ringer.
