"hand of god" completely predictable but kept me watching through the end. And I accidentally caught an episode of "z nation", it wasn't as terrible as i remember reading in a thread. went back and watched the first episodes, not bad at all. cheesy at times? yes. dialogue of a b-movie? definitely. but it's fun and so far they have a mission.
Watched the Pilot preview of Limitless for CBS this fall. It debut on Tuesday night. It is an extension of the movie. I enjoyed the show, but not so sure about the FBI consultant thing, hope it isn't the main thing.
We just started Limitless on NetFlix. Odd, its got both a "different" and at the same time a very familiar feel in plot (the enhancement pill). Likable characters which is a plus but unfortunately still has the "network TV feel" to it. We'll probably stick with it until something better pops up (ie. Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead). OMG, you mentioned film, and seeing Bradley Cooper as producer and in a cameo. Doh, now I know why it seemed so familiar.
It was a good show I always compared it to PSYCHE I think it would have done well on USA or TNT Rocket River
Yeah, but some I've dropped, some got canceled, and some I've started to obligation watch. Where is our 2016 summer tv thread? is it too late?
I think a lot of shows are already airing their mid-to-late season episodes. What's been new series on the slate this summer? I can think of: BrainDead, Stranger Things, American Gothic. And you also have returning shows like Suits, Zoo, Dark Matter, Killjoys, etc.
Braindead might get the ax instead of a next season. Sort of a zombie-ish political dramedy. That too bad. I think it's entertaining enough for a proper resolution.
It looks like the Kings wanted to do a Good Wife spin-off with Eli Gold, but added zombies for better demographics, and everything they learned about filming musical numbers and press conferences.
Started watching The Newsroom for some reason. Liked the pilot a lot but I haven't heard good things about where it goes. This should be interesting...
