I don't know the history but I wouldn't be surprised if the writers didn't follow it exactly for the sake of the show

Badass episode. I'm really liking this season and the storyline, even though I'm not completely sold on Liam. I truly believe this season's new found use of overkilling it with the slow-mo during action scenes is a result of the new Spartacus not looking fluid enough in fight scenes so they are just masking it with this approach which they now have to use on everyone for continuity.
Amazing episode. Easily the best of this season and right behind the the Season 1 finale in my opinion.
Damn this season has to be the most violent/bloodiest so far.. Can't believe they managed to pull this off even for premium cable....
UNBELIEVABLE episode! Maybe the best of the entire series. Illithiya, Glaber, and Ashur are awesome freaknin villians. I thought with the death of Battiatus their wouldnt be a strong villian, but I was freakin wrong. The scene with the spear being thrown at Glaber was freakin awesome! Is it only 8 episodes total this year? Is this the last season?
Wikipedia says there are 10 episodes this year, with the last one airing on March 30th. I wish there were more. Don't know if this is the last season, but the storyline of the rebellion seems to be moving fast, so I'm afraid it might be. Hope I'm wrong though.

Another awesome episode! This season has taken to another level! The Spartacus vs. that bid dude and Gannicus vs. Glaber Army shots were f'n amazing!!!
This has been the greatest season ever in all of television. New Spartacus still doesn't look right to me. In that brawl at the end you got 7 ft. Sir Gregar Clegane aka The Mountain fight beasts like Crixus and Agron. Ripped Onameus is jacking up 3 guys with his fists. The shorter juiced up German who looks like he's made of solid rock is ready to fight and who does he get...here comes skinny, no muscle Spartacus. Spartacus is suppose to be the best and most feared warrior but the new guy's physique is something to laugh at compared to everyone else (no homo). Glaber looks bigger than he does and he spends more time parading around the Lutus with that beaty eyed look upon his face than he does on the battlefield.
