"Star Trek" "Sorority Life" "NHL Tonight" "RPM 2Day" "Iron Chef" " Trading Spaces" If you ever catch me watching any of the above, please slap the hell outta me A.S.A.P.
I only watch Trading Spaces cause its the wife's favorite show. But I have to say that Iron Chef rocks. I guess its a niche show. It grows on you and now I am addicted to it.
'Sex In The City'. I like pretty much every show on HBO except SITC. I'll never understand how so many people find it funny.
Hate Real World and Road Rules, so gay, played too much on MTV, almost like marathons everyday of that ****.
For those people hating on Frasier, have you watched many episodes this season? There have been some terrible ones (Kissing Cousins), but most have been great (Fraternal Schwinns). I think a lot of people just got bored of the show and stopped watching, then said the show sucks now, without having seen it at all lately . . .
Will and Grace. I'm not under the delusion that sitcoms should strive to resemeble real life, but the way characters talk and crack jokes on that show is just too unnatural.
I've seen most of the episodes this year. The one where Frasier refuses to pay $2.00 at a parking garage was the slowest, most pointless episode ever. I think they were just trying to copy Seinfeld's Chinese Restaurant episode and failed miserably.
well if that parking garage frasier was from this season, then i guess i have seen a show within the last year. terribly boring. i mean eventually i have to give up on a show. frasier crane was a badass character for his 9 or 10 years on Cheers and for 6 years on frasier. but it's just fallen off far too much for me to keep watching and critiquing. maybe i would've been pleasantly surprised by other episodes but i felt i gave it more than a fair chance to recapture some former glory.
Friends is the worst show ever made. That thing has spawned the most loathsome characters ever penned into a cultural phenom. I hate my generation, they disgust me. You are what you are sold, morons. Schwimmer is the worst. I cannot stand him. Then that smug b****.
Easier to list what I like, all new TV shows suck period with 2 exceptions. The Simpsons and The Sopranos. All I ever watch is sports, movies, or reruns of older sitcoms. And WTF is up with cartoons these days? The animation looks like something a r****ded ten year old drew, and the plots are just garbage. I'm not asking for Shakespeare here but geez.
Eddiewassnubbed: Nederland is Dutch, as in the Netherlands/Holland, and Football=Soccer, not high school american football. And yeah, "What are you on about" is the same thing as "What are you talking about." Ace: Nederland is a town outside of Houston near Beaumont, about 1 to 1.5 hours east of Houston. Very few people admit to being from there. Confusion solved! I hate Seinfeld. See the thread about Uninteresting People for a rant or two from me. God I hate that show.
Hating "Seinfeld" makes you unAmerican! . . . . No it doesn't... you can still 'Support the Bubble Boy' and hate "Seinfeld" at the same time. Just because you hate "Seinfeld" doesn't mean you wish ill will on the Bubble Boy.
I also find Friends to be incredibly irritating. Talk about milking something for all it is worth. It was pretty funny a few seasons back, but I find Ross and Monica to be nearly as irritating as George, Jerry, and Elaine. I still catch Frasier every once in awhile, and an occasional NYPD Blue and ER. There is only one "show" on tv (not including more documentaries and sports) that I really hate to miss, and that's Alias. I used to enjoy The Practice, but they inject to damn much real-life politics into that show, making it unwatchable. 95% of everything I watch comes on The History Channel or The Discovery Channel, or TLC. I get my news from Fox News, and I watch NBA2Night religiously, unless I'm pissed off at the Rockets.
Anna Nicole show...what a train wreck she is. Real World...bunch of whiney asses. Sometimes, when I come home and someone has these shows on, I just walk straight through to hit the showers, surf the web, eat...anything but those two shows.
I do watch a lot of documentaries....and HorsePowerTV on TNN, Car & Driver TV, and entirely too much Cartoon Network. Adult Swim kicks ass. Have any of you guys seen Aqua Teen Hunger Force?? That show is freakin' crazy-funny!
Frasier went downhill when he was unemployed and they had somethnig like 8 straight depressing episodes. I think they peaked at the Christmas episode with the hooker and Niles as Jesus.....I almost pissed myself watching that one. I liked Friends until they brought in the chicken and the duck..after that it became unwatchable. I remember when I used to schedule my weeks around watching TV on Thursdays...now I think I havent turned on non-sports TV on a Thursday in 3 or 4 years. "Must See"? I dont think so.
NBC is so desperate for Friends replacement that they're going to lose money on that show next season paying the actors so much money. I've watched reruns of MASH and still don't see why the show was so popular for so long...maybe because I know that there is a laugh track...
Lynus, Thanks for clearing that up, was a bit confused about it! I was thinking "who did we play back in 2001? I was thinking that he might be from Ireland, but I don't know a town in Ireland called Magnolia... I was completely out of the loop. lol.
I requested an email from you through the bbs as your's is hidden. Did you get it? If not, drop me a line at: [email}Lynus302@yahoo.com[/email] I can't check it while I'm at work, so I'll check later. Thanks!
