Midnight Mass. really enjoyed it. Not as good as The Haunting of Hill House but almost on par with Bly Manor. Binged Narcos Mexico Season 3. Liked it as well. Not as strong as S 1&2 but still really solid.
My wife loves that show. She had me watch the first two eps last week. Thought the husband and his crew were portrayed in a really funny manner.
Almost finished Invincible, I forgot all about it, I am surprised how invested I am. Really liking the 2nd season of A Discovery of Witches them going back in time has really been great. I am a history buff so it's great to look at and have actual historical figures involved.
Been catching up on a bunch of shows: Barry, Only Murders in the Building, Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, Foundation, Star Trek Discovery, Wheel of Time, Doom Patrol, etc. Just loads of great TV out there.
Just started “Get Back.” As someone who has been in bands all my life growing up, this is just an amazing doc. I can see how many will be bored as hell watching this but musicians will love this. They make songwriting look excruciating (which it is) and they make it look incredibly easy (which it can be) if you know how to capture and build on little jam session diddys (see episode 1 when Paul just sort of pulls “Get Back” out of his backside.)
Dropped Wheel Of Time. Started watching Foundation. Ready to binge on Jojo Stone Ocean. Is Foundation faithful to the books? If it is, I can see its influence on the Dune books, esp. the Golden Path story arc.
The Sinner season 4 was good 7.5 out of 10 it could have been great but they really messed up with the last episode. The central mystery was good and they ended it well but then they tried to add on with another incident and it was really unnecessary and tarnished a great mystery. it was not terrible just very unnecessary. Was very impressed with the actress who played the "victim" she should be going places. Sad to see that there will be no more series going forward. I really appreciated that there were not a lot of red hearings and fake suspects It came to a natural conclusion but one I did not see coming so it had an element of surprise.
The third one was interesting because Pullman's character Ambrose almost went off the deep end with Jamie Burns. They talk about it in Season 4 as well. You could tell that this one was not about the mystery but just plain crime solving in the end shrouded in mystery.
I missed season 3 but I realized it weighed heavily on 4 I can't believe they did not address his wife situation but I respect that they did not just tie it in a neat bow.
