I usually like to start a show once it's 2-3 seasons in. These are all the shows I've watched recently.

    Sopranos
    Wire
    Boardwalk
    Mad Men
    The Shield
    Walking Dead
    Sons of Anarchy
    Breaking Bad

I thoroughly loved them all. Any suggestions on a new show I could start?

Well, 'Homeland' just has one season under its belt, but it's another good series. That and also 'Dexter'. New seasons for both start next weekend on Showtime.

    Rome
Dexter (though the last season or two have been less impressive, the first few were great)
    Game of Thrones
Homeland is just about to start season 2, but season one was great.

    Game Of Thrones for sure
Sherlock/Luther if you're into intense suspense type shows

Downton Abbey is quite solid also. Slower paced but good character development.

I think I'm the only person that did not like that show.

I tried to watch it on a few occasions. Even though I was a huge Sopranos and am a huge SOA fan, I found the cussing on Deadwood to be way way too much. They were cussing for the sake of cussing. Every other word was "f***". It distracted from whatever it was they were supposed to be talking about.

We've been watching it over the summer and just started on season 3. I get what you are saying because sometimes it almost gets comical, the amount of cursing, but I've still enjoyed it quite a bit.
