Like R2K mentioned, this has been running since the early 1960's. If you want to see something really hilarious, view the early black and white episodes. The special effects make the original Star Trek look amazingly advanced. :-D-

By the way, this is a cleverly disguised "Geek, expose thyself!" thread.

True... but there's simple "chatting on a web forum" geekiness and then there's the "LOLing at people's lack of knowlege of Doctor Who/Attending Dragon Con"-level of super geekiness. :)

Because of this thread, I'm going to finish up season 4 and watch season 5 on Netflix.

Yes it is. I can't wait until I get that far into it... Best Sci-Fi show ever... Well, I still like Quantum Leap a bit more, but it's coming up on it...

to those of you just now getting into this and that know how to deal with torrents.

    Doctors 1-4 eps.

keep in mind that there are still missing episodes from the early years and the ones that exist sometimes arent very good quality. Very few of the older Dr WHo eps have been released on dvd so about all you can find are very old copies of copies. I havent finished watching all the 4th Dr ones, but the ones I have watched have been fairly good quality AND they are all intact

and as Deckard alluded to, dont go into this expecting quality effects, people appreciate this for the stories and acting not the costumes and effects.

A lot of the early seasons are available via Amazon Prime instant streaming (for free if you are a Prime member). It's weird watching old TV, having gotten used to newer technology/camera techniques, etc.

    I just finished season 2.
The goodbye between Rose and the Doctor was so sad. I really liked Rose but I totally understand they needed a new arc. Her story was almost done and the Doctor needs a new companion. I love this show. I can't wait to see what season 3 has in store. I must admit, I did like the first doctor a bit more tho... The 2nd one is a bit nuts, but he just seems too young...
