That last episode was wind down for what could've been a season/series? finale. Just like the 1st episode of the season. It's expected when the writers give everything away the episode before.
Someone posted earlier in the thread that the prior episode was supposed to be the finale but NBC suddenly decided to order a few more for this season. It showed that the writers were caught off-guard and weren't fully prepared to deal with the sudden change in dynamic with Chuck and Sarah. After last night, I definitely wish the season had ended. I'm probably in the minority, but the Morgan as a spy thing does nothing for me and I don't like it.
I feel like its a good thing they are doing something new. But you know what I hate? Ellie not knowing. I mean, Morgan knows. Devon knows. Everyone connected to Chuck knows. Except Ellie. He should have told her, or something.
Completely agree with you on the Morgan thing. I said earlier that it's too much "the rookie, know nothing accidentally solves all the problems". I didn't think last night was that bad. Definitely hard to top the previous episodes. Hopefully they'll ramp back up towards the actual season finale, but it's hard at this moment to see where they're going. No more Ring. No more Shaw. They didn't use last night to set anything else up. Hopefully next week will start that process. If not, it will certainly be a series finale and not a season finale because even the loyal fans will bolt.
Great episode last night. The return of Anna Wu was just an added bonus. Oh, and it looks like there's a strong chance that NBC greenlights a fourth season. http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/05/10/chuck-pickup-season-4/
read that this morning too. Enjoyed last nite's episode and damn Anna looks so much better without all the make up.
Good news Chuck fans, season 4 has been picked up! http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/05/1...TWITTER&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitter
Definitely back on track after tonight. Plenty of plot lines to finish this season and take them into season 4.
I'm digging Yvonne Strahovski's lingerie. RIGHT after the Shaw storyline ended, did Fedak and Schwartz realize the gold mine that is YS's body?! And the season finale is going to be so legit.
You must have not been watching because it seems like they've used any excuse to put her in lingerie or other revealing clothing since the start of the show.
I agree. I remember when NBC agreed for 13 episodes last summer that some of the cast were quoted as saying the preferred the 13-15 seasons that cable tv does because that is enough to develop and depict the main season plotlines without having to fill in a bunch of filler episodes. The Morgan as a spy thing is frankly annoying, because they are basically rebooting somewhat how Chuck was in the 1st season when he first became a spy. I would also wish they would stop the whole Chuck does not trust anyone, so he talks Morgan into some harebrained scheme that has complications until Casey & Sarah figure it out and save them. Honestly, Chuck has been a spy for 3 years now, have him grow up already. To be honest the major thing that has bothered me (other than them continually changing the major information about the Ring), is that none of the major characters have died yet. No, I'm not saying I want any of them to die, and yes I do sort of like the current dynamics of the cast. But how can you have a spy show and not have a major character die? They keep just keep killing side characters who slightly further the plot and are very dispensable, like a redshirts on Star Trek.
awesome final episode. gave me everything i was hoping to see, and there are still some questions they left open and a clear direction for next year. good stuff!
