No, but they can make every relationship Chuck tries to get in fail and push him back towards Sarah. Jordana Brewster, Rachel Bilson, Kristin Kreuk. This whole Chuck/Sarah thing has really gotten old for me. They want to be together but they can't be together. Chuck finds some other girl but being a spy and him still having feelings for Sarah gets in the way. So it doesn't work out and Chuck goes back to his "we want to but we can't" relationship with Sarah. Ugh. I guess the only new thing is that Sarah wants Superman now. BTW, I really feel sorry for Casey. Sarah has a compulsive need to hook up with whoever her partner is. Bryce. Chuck. Shaw. Casey must be getting blue balls.
That made me literally laugh out loud. I know a lot of people get sick of the Chuck/Sarah stuff, but I like it! I need more Awesome though.. he is so adorkable when he tries to lie. Very funny. The scene with the three Buy Morons was funny too. Big Mike "d@mn onions" too hilarious.
I really liked what did they did with Awesome early in the season, but overall it is almost as if the show is losing it's charm. They are spending so much time with the Chuck/Hannah/Sarah/Superman thing that we do not get any fun scenes at the Buy More at all anymore. Completely agree about Chuck/Sarah. Either they just need to have them get together, or completely move on. It just feels that most of the characters development are just staying completely static with a small nudges of change in Chuck become less innocent and more professional. I sort of like adding Hannah in to the story, but her character seems like temporary throw in while they writers by time to get to the real story. I hope they develop it more, but while incorporating the other characters as well. I understand the concentrating on the Ring (who have been the big baddies for how long now??), but it is just moving too slowly and they have not given us anything to grab our attention or make us really care about The Ring since last season. It is just consistently episodes of ego-centric dumb pawns/middlemen that are defeated because they are working for the Ring, but no central storyline tying everything together. Also, they to be over-pursuing the Morgan/Ellie worried about Chuck storyline. It worked well with the humorous, farcical tone on a superficial level , but being a major plot point for 3-4 shows with the same tone made it seem more ridiculous level. I just feel that if they were going to run with that storyline, they should have done it more seriously or just let it be.
While I still love the show, I'm kinda bummed out that the show is going back to the "will they-won't they" tension. You know they are destined to be together but it's like "seriously guys, stop playing games already". I guess it makes good drama. I'm probably the minority here but I enjoy the spy stuff more than buy more stuff. This episode, however, had too little buy more stuff to balance things out. I'm surprised Morgan didn't appear in the episode. Is it a cost-cutting move?
The show yesterday was great relative to the last few which have been quite dull. Liked how we found out more about Casey, I wonder how long the group will remain seperate.
Thought it was one of the best episodes they've had, period. Got to see the other side of Casey and learned about who he was. Got to see what Chuck could be as a spy. Separated the group, at least temporarily, and leaves open what's next for them. Should be a fun stretch run to the end of this season.
great ep still a little bit of chuck/sarah tension, which i still think is good.. But apparently not too much to annoy the people that are tired of it. So good job on that I guess i can't imagine the show would have the same fun factor without casey in the mix, so i'm guessing they'll work him back in soon enough glad awesome and ellie are staying
chuck continues to be my favorite show on tv. parks and rec is up there and all.. but nothing has beaten chuck this last season and a half!
It's going to be balls to the wall through the end of the season. Does anyone know if it's been extended another season, or will we have to buy more Subway sandwiches again?
Last night's episode was fantastic. I like how the show has progressed instead of basically doing the same episode over and over in slightly different way. Sometimes the CSI's, Law & Orders, Bones, House, Castle, 24's, etc. of the world just seem so repetitive - and as a result, I do not watch many of them. Chuck has done a good job of actually moving along. Plus, ultimately, all the characters are like-able, from Chuck and Awesome to the Buy More guys to Casey and even Superman. It's a good show.
Agreed, they avoided the very obvious rut they could have fallen into and move foward, finale is supposed to be really shocking and a game changer according to an interview I read with the creator last week.
