I would be curious to know what the penalty in his contract is if he doesn't return. Obviously we probably won't find that out, but I am sure there is something written into it about non-completion of contract or something to that effect (I am no lawyer so I don't know the legalese)
The penalty is he doesn't get paid because he can't play in the Euro leagues either if he's under contract in the NBA.
I would hope this is not true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I once worked with a guy that most people in the company were very fond of and I felt the same way about the guy until I really got to know him. He turned out to be one of the most back stabbing political cut throat individuals I've ever been around. On the surface he was a "team player" but in reality he didn't care about anything but himself. He recently quit and moved on to another job in the company. I think word got out about him and people started to see him for what he really was.
Whoa, where is all this emanating from? One questionable poster? CD's body of work speaks for itself. Sure, lots of dubious results but, on balance, it is well weighted to the positive - contributions to the Rockets for a generation. Mr. Dawson would be welcome in my home anytime!
I think Morey statement about killbill bring "under contract" means if he's willing to come back and play, then he will get some minutes. or else he will be traded. As he is still under contract.
VSpan is well liked by Yao. And he is under contract. So if he does not come back, he will not get $$ from anyone since he can't work for anyone else. It's his best interest to get pass the 1st year in NBA and look to imrpove. He will be better and if he's not traded for Artest, we will see him play. I think that's about it.
